I would give the playground 5 stars, but for some reason my 9-year-old got bored quicker than I thought he would at a new to us playground so I took off one star. Nice new looking tire swings, a sand box, slides, plenty of benches and shade. The parents I encountered seemed very nice and friendly. The sprinklers were off when I visited. I am not sure if it was because it was raining off and on that day. The water fountain was also off, which was more annoying to me. It started to get busy quickly soon after the rain stopped. Isn’t up-to-snuff with the other playgrounds inside the Prospect or in the surrounding area, not deserving of this location, Hoping the city renovates it soon and makes it worthy of the community it serves. It’s next to bathrooms that have running water and that’s about the best I can say about them , although far from the worst , they often rate a 3 when a 2 means an eye watering stench that sticks in your nose and on your clothes for a while after you leave and a 4 is spontaneous...
Read moreThis place is really fun. It’s often very dirty, so that’s a downside. It has sand and a climber for little kids and big kids, tire swings, and baby swings. I do wish they’d swap a baby swing or two for the flat kid swings to aid with autonomy. Lots of seats, but some are blocked in view.
