Empanadas Monumental — Restaurant in New York

Sadly this location has lost another customer. I ordered twice from them on door dash and both times they got my drink wrong. I called before placing the order to confirm that they had the famous dominican drink orange dream aka Morir Soñando And the young lady on the phone told me that they did have it. I placed the order but to my surprise when the order arrived the drink was wrong. I called the restaurant not to argue or fight but just to let them know hey this is the second time I’ve ordered from you and both times you got my drink wrong can you please be careful. The same young lady that answered the first time answered the phone and was ready to argue with me that I had to be specific on what I wanted. I explained to her that I was specific and that I choose Orange Dream in my order. She told me that I didn’t that I chose orange and I corrected her again and told her no I did not I chose orange dream. She kept going on saying that I had to specify what kind of drink I wanted and I had to stop her midsentence and tell her hey I didn’t call you to argue with you or to ask for any favors I just simply want you to be careful when packing orders for your customers, this is the second time that it’s happened and sadly I don’t trust to order from you again and I won’t be giving five stars to your business because the mistake has already happened twice. I know it’s just a juice and mistakes happen but this is how you lose customers. Sadly she didn’t apologize once for the mistake and wasn’t forgiving at all so I definitely won’t be ordering from them...

Their empanadas are not the best in my opinion. This is my opinion. I'm just rendering my opinion. Many other people, I'm sure will enjoy their empanadas. I prefer the Puerto Rican style or flavoring of empanadas.

They sell beef, chicken, Philly cheese, cheese and several other different flavors. They also sell relleno de papas filled with beef I think, but they're not the Puerto Rican version. They also sell a item similar to the Puerto Rican alcapuria 🇵🇷 but it doesn't taste at all like one.

They also sell blended fruit juicies or smoothies.

This is the 2nd time I go for take-out. I've gone back just to make sure maybe it wasn't just a bad day. Well the first time I ordered a Yaroa de Maduro y Carne res, it was not flavorful at all, the Maduro tasted very stale. The 2nd time I ordered a cachapa de res with a small morir sonando... i don't know how my order totaled to 18.50 but the OJ was definitely Tang powder mixed with the milk and the Cachapa itself was terrible. The corn cakes had freezer taste and even cold in the center area, they gave me white lettuce which is gross, I would have preferred green...
