If you're looking for an interesting culinary experience, this is definitely a restaurant worth checking out, though there are a few areas that could elevate it even further.
We started with a first course that was full of flavor – zucchini and a rich cream that really enhanced the experience. For the mains, we had gnocchi with ragu and fettuccine with truffles – both dishes were fresh and incredibly tasty. For dessert, we had a perfect tiramisu, which looked and tasted just as it should, but another dessert with zabaglione cream was a bit underwhelming and felt overpriced for what it offered.
Unfortunately, the bathrooms were not clean when we arrived, which definitely affected the overall experience. Additionally, the sight of the kitchen being open and quite messy wasn't the most professional look. While it was impressive, it did take away from the overall atmosphere.
On the positive side, the service was good – the waiters were friendly and efficient, and the kitchen was working at a fast pace. It's important to note that during peak hours, you'll have to wait in line for at least 40 minutes, so if you're not a fan of waiting, it's best to avoid rush hours.
In conclusion, I would definitely return, but during less busy times, and I would recommend sitting inside, as the atmosphere is much more pleasant and...
Read moreBeen to the east village location a couple of times, and just like that location the food is really good. Handmade pastas are great and serve some authentic Italian pastas. The issue with our first time in the Wv location was the service and being rushed through our meal and asked to finish our wine outside.
When we were done with our meal we still had a little less than half of our wine left. This isn’t an expensive place so we only spent around $120, but after we pay they come up and ask for us to finish our wine outside. This is a tiny little place and they always have people waiting, but so do a lot of other restaurants.
Anyways, I thought it was just being asked if we would want to do it, not that they were telling us we needed to move. We weren’t a big group, just a 2 person table and we ate pretty quickly so we didn’t hold the table for more than an hour.
They came up again and told us they have a bench outside we can sit on.
We finished our wine (which was good and affordable) outside in the front. They did bring an after dinner drink out which moved this to a 2 star.
Hated giving this a bad rating because I like the food and never had an issue at the east...

This is a delightful little spot in the West Village that accepts walk-ins only, and it’s absolutely worth the wait. We walked in and ordered the Tagliatelle Tartufo Nero, Pappardelle al Ragu, and a Burrata.
Let me tell you, both pastas were absolutely lip-smacking. The truffle pasta was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, topped generously with fresh truffle shavings. It completely satisfied my ooey-gooey pasta cravings. The pappardelle was hearty and comforting, served with savory ragu and parmesan shavings. The pasta was incredibly fresh; we could even see it being handmade through the kitchen window, which added to the charm of the experience.
Since the restaurant has a one-dish-per-person rule, we added a burrata to our order. While it was fine, it didn’t stand out compared to the stellar pasta dishes, it felt more like a filler than a highlight.
The space itself is tiny and cozy, full of character, and perfect for a casual yet flavorful meal. We devoured every bite and left feeling truly satisfied.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking authentic Tuscan flavors in...
