CHASED ME TO MY CAR! I had friends over on a Saturday night to watch a movie, they wanted sushi, this place is only 6 blocks from my home, so I gave it a try. AN $85 DOLLAR DELIVERY TOOK THIS PLACE OVER AN HOUR TO DELIVER 6 BLOCKS AWAY AND I HAD TO PICK UP THE COLD FOOD MYSELF!!! I was a little upset, hungry and had hungry guests. I go in the place and my bag of food was just sitting there… FOR AN HOUR! I try talking to some little girl, who had no interest in hearing anything I had to say, “Just sign CC receipt” – LIKE I WAS CATTLE!!! NO COMPASSION, NO CONSIDERATION, NO APOLOGY - WOW! Treating paying customers like cattle, I find it bad business. So I grab my bag, say some not so nice things, walk out. I get to my car, close the door, ready to go – WHEN SOME CRAZY ASIAN LADY STARTS BANGING ON MY CAR SCREAMING “ YOU SIGN RECIPT!!” Huh? I try to pay her no mind and drive off, because I don’t acknowledge crazy people, I usually walk away. Besides, I know I clearly signed it when I left. SHE KEPT SCREAMING, BANGING ON MY CAR, OPENING THE BACK DOOR, TRYING TO GET IN, CURSING!!! How are these people in business? Who does stuff like this? I had to get out of my car and yell at her: “Don’t hit my car! – Go away!” A man who probably worked there had to come outside and grab here in order for her to stop arguing and hitting my car!!! I’m a respectable real estate broker in my community and have lived here most my life. On the same block: I go to Rimini (bakery), the discount store, order pizza from Torre’s (Veggie pizza is the best!), have used the optometrist (Alan) for my son, even ordered Chinese food from the place next door… NEVER A PROBLEM! I even like getting a Subway sandwiches from the cute old coupe right across the street. THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD! Needless to say, the food wasn’t that good at all: Nobody wants to eat cold tempura or soggy sushi. The sashimi was below par also. I don’t think the tuna was tuna. I wouldn’t lie, if it was good, it might have been a good end to all this craziness, but it wasn’t. I’ve ordered delivery sushi from the sushi places on 18th Av. ALWAYS A HOME RUN – GREAT STUFF! I wasn’t going to write this crazy review but I had to. I don’t want my neighbors to have the same experience as I did. Never went here before, never will again – HOW DOES A PLACE LIKE THIS STAY IN BUSINESS? My advice: Take the time to go somewhere else. Being 6 blocks away, this was not convenient and was embarrassing to...
Read moreI've been coming here for over 9 years, several times a year whenever I'm in the area. Unfortunately, this place has been going downhill with each visit. The service is no longer what it used to be, and the quality of the food has noticeably declined. A few days ago, I stopped by for lunch — and it was a complete disappointment. Everything I ordered tasted sour, which clearly suggests the ingredients were not fresh. The soup I ordered was, without exaggeration, the worst I’ve ever had. It was sour, and out of what should have been ten ingredients, there were only two: some clearly old meat and noodles. It looked and tasted like leftovers dumped into a bowl — careless and unhygienic. I mentioned to the staff that I didn’t eat the soup at all and that the portion was large but inedible. They didn’t even apologize — and still charged me for everything. No courtesy, no accountability. The dining area was literally empty — I was the only guest — yet my order took over 30 minutes to arrive. Behind the counter were two chefs making rolls, one waitress doing something behind the bar, and another sitting and eating. At one point, an elderly man and woman came out from the back (presumably the kitchen), both in home clothes and slippers, and started wandering around the dining room out of boredom. It honestly felt like I had walked into someone’s private family home — a multigenerational Chinese household with grandparents, children, and grandchildren — not a professional restaurant. Sadly, this place has completely lost its standards. I do not...
Read moreNot a good experience. I typically order from here because it's my go-to sushi place that's near me. When I called to place my usual order and pay with card (quite literally as always), they said that I didn't meet the minimum to pay by card. Now, I have their menu in my kitchen and it clearly states the minimum is $15, which I am spending and always spend with card and it's not a problem. I address that with them and the man on the phone said oh actually it's because I live to far so the minimum fee is more...
I live quite literally seven minutes away BY BICYCLE so I'm assuming much quicker by car.
I then proceeded to say never mind to my order because it started to feel sketchy and the man rudely asks "you don't want to just spend a little bit more?" and I said no, thank you.
Overall, rude service and seemed like they just wanted more money from me. Honestly considering never eating here again because I can get much cheaper...
