This is a tough review to right. They were open and there are a few things to note. They have food to sell. The yellow rice had a burnt smell and taste to it. I asked serveral times how much a plate was and never got an answer. Ultimately, I sucked it up and just went along because I was pressed for time and food is already made. You can tell the volume of customers isn't high and I think it has to do with the customer service.
The lady that served me quickly disappeared so fast that if I were to take the cash register home, no one will notice. That kind of service really hurts themselves. The lady just went to the back or bar area.
Lastly, the place is humid. Rightly so because of the steam heating platform to keep the food warm. All the windows had condensation, which is not welcoming. I really don't know, because I am likely never to return since I rarely drive through this street anyway. Check out a similar place on Halsey...
Read moreI am new to the area. I operate 2 new housing program. At first I thought it was just me but one of my clients (Spanish man) was with me yesterday and he saw how they treated me and how little food they gave me. He went off on them because he knows how hard I work to help people in need. Every time I went there it seems like my plate was almost empty compared to the plates they fixed others. And they jacked up the prices for certain people. All that to say, they are prejudice against black people. Here I am working to help the migrants buy operating shelters and housing programs and making sure they are treated with respect and get the services they need. And I am being treated the opposite. The servers here are racist and do like black people. Yes the food is good but the racism is not. Once I open the new program I will tell all my new staff and clients not to go...
Read moreI had the worst experience there yesterday. I went in, said hello and no one even looked at me till about 10 minutes (empty restaurant to paint the picture). Granted I had one of my headphones in and had previously been talking so I didnât take any issue to waiting initially. However, at some point of waiting one of the two ladies working there decided to scream at me to order and then in Spanish saying I canât hear/understand when I didnât respond immediately (fun fact: people donât typically respond very nicely or fast when you yell at them to order out of nowhere) which I found to be extremely rude. I left after they started to talk about me because Iâm definitely not going to be severed by people like that. Crazy cause there was no one there so Iâm not sure why there was so much hostility. Definitely never going here...
