Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

I literally just left from there with my boyfriend and I must say that staff was rude . They look like a new crew. Customer service skills don't exist here at least for the evening shift on 12/13 /2022 @3:55pm. When I asked the girl to put less rice and more cabbage she looked at me like I was crazy . I don't know her eating habits but I don't eat alot of rice. So as she continues to prepare the food my boyfriend goes to the gentleman by the cashier so he can charge us .. the guy says oh she taking care of you,, meaning the rude chick, and then called next. I forgot to mention we had to scream our order because there was a plexi glass with no holes between the rude chick and I, so we had a hard time hearing eachother. So to end this saga, we get home and all the gravy was all over the place in the bag because the other girl at the cashier improperly placed them in the bag. The place was packed, the rude chick on her phone , not Cassandra C. No one had masks or gloves back there preparing our food. Bad experience. Good food, poor customer service....The short lady that works here is the worst. When I arrived two people were on line and one at the register. One cashier at the register was taking customers. A man and the other cashier was behind at the back. This other cashier was taking her sweet time doing notjing much very slowly while the line was getting longer. She didn't even acknowledge that there was a line and try to help out the cashier on the right register with customers. It was ridiculous that this girl served three customers before this women actually went to her register on the left to call a customer. The line was outside the store at this point. Management needs to teach the cashiers to respect the customers...

I came to this establishment today around 1pm and my horrible experience compelled me to write a review. I was in a long line for about 25 minutes while the workers stood around in the front talking to each other about irrelevant gossip and paid no attention to the line or customers. I watched one worker behind the register speak to a customer very rude and unprofessional. I was charged $12 for a large soup when most restaurants charge 10. You'd think that the fact that golden crust is a dying restaurant chain and every month new restaurants are opening all over nyc that are carribean the workers would actually act like they care about the customers and their jobs but they don't. I will not return here with so many...
