Grown and Sewn — Restaurant in New York

I visited the shop during a weekend trip to New York City in November 2019. I purchased two pairs of Red Wing Heritage boots--a pair of 3365s for my wife and a pair of 9111s for myself. It was my wife's first pair of Red Wings, so the staff was incredibly helpful in measuring her foot and letting her try on a several different pairs. We hung around for a while, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and having a good conversation. I've since ordered two more pairs of Red Wings from them.

Though there's a Red Wing store in Midtown, they don't have as large a selection of standard and exclusive Heritage boots like Red Wing Heritage NYC.

I look forward to visiting the shop during my next trip to NYC. Shop small and buy...

Joe & Bryan are the ABSOLUTE best guys! They are extremely knowledgeable about how a Red Wing boot should fit and finding the right boot for your needs. If they do not have the boot in your size they will order and call you once your boot is ready. I have purchased at least 10 pairs of boots from Grown & Sewn...at least 10! The Grown & Sewn clothing is really nice as well. I purchased the lightweight Chore Coat in black from Grown & Sewn. It is the perfect coat for errands and traveling. Amazing customer service.

I bought a pair of Thorogood boots in January through Grown & Sewn. After a couple of months, no sign of the boots so I contacted them to get a tracking number to see was going on. After many emails back and forward to figure out what was going on, G&S offered to replace the boots that were lost by the postage service (so not their fault) with a once off voucher they had received to Red Wing shoes (or full refund if I wanted it).
