Nine Cakes — Restaurant in New York

I may have procrastinated a bit in finding a wedding cake, but it was truly for the best because I found Nine Cakes! They accommodated a very abbreviated timeline (circa 6 plus weeks, not months) and made us the most beautiful and delicious cake. I have never been to wedding where I remembered the wedding cake, mostly towers of gaudy fondant and flowers and chalky cake with overly sweet buttercream. Our strawberry lemonade and chocolate strawberry cake was not only elegant and beautiful but so amazingly delicious that I am still having guests say they are craving it. In full disclosure, I may have eaten some of the leftovers for breakfast the day after the wedding. Nine cakes will be my go to for all cake needs...

Found her after days of research to have my daughter's first birthday cake. The owner was very attentive to my details and even gave me her suggestions on which color coordination was best for the theme that I was having. The cake came out beautiful and elegant. I was so focused on how the cake look that I wasn't thinking much or expecting much on the flavor. But let me tell you, I was very surprised. My cake not only looked good but tasted hella good too. I had their season flavor and it was on point. Not over sweet which was perfect for me so I can have slice after slice without feeling sick. Definitely will go back to her for any future custom...

Betsy made three cakes for our wedding a few years back. We could not have been more pleased. At the tasting we gave her description of what we hope for based really off no reference points (photos, her cakes, etc..). She managed to produce exactly what we asked for. Being amateur bakers ourselves we can be picky but were blown away by the quality of the cake. Nearly every person raved about the wonderful taste. This was not just great wedding cake ... It was great cake period. It is one of few experiences I have have truly nothing negative to say about. We were thrilled from start to finish. Can not recommend Betsy and Nine...
