Me & my son woke up & I didn't have time to go shopping yesterday so I decided to treat us to take out. I never ate here before so I can't speak to the atmosphere just the food we got & the delivery. We only live a couple of blocks but I haven't seen this place. Anyway, I got the French toast. Never had the kind they serve here & it was honestly the best thing by far! That's why I gave this place almost 5 stars & I would've had everything else not been a little messed up. The coffee was also fresh so that's awesome too! I'm a bit of a coffee snob I guess. We also got the congee & I ordered the plain because we are vegetarian but there was meat so I'm annoyed about that. My son really hates the texture of meat. I got the fried bread because at all the other places I ever had congee we dip the sweet fried bread in it but this was not sweet. Oh well.. another disappointment but it didn't say it was going to be sweet so I can't be that upset. The bread was also fresh so it was really good. Also, I wanted the rose tea but they were out. I was glad they called me about that so I got lychee. However I specifically ordered with no bubbles or anything because that's another thing my kid can't stand in the milk team drinks. No bubbles or gel pieces but they delivered it with gel pieces in it. It was yummy but my kid hates those pieces in the drink. Lastly, I got the wontons & even write in the order to please call me if you don't serve it with any sauce because we need sauce. Even though they show sauce in the pictures online, there was no sauce & it was very fishy tasting so we couldn't eat it. If you like it like that, get it but we don't. Delivery was fast & everything was hot so that's a plus. I'm just a little annoyed that most things were a little messed up in some way but everything is fresh tasting and the presentation is very nice too. I'd eat here again, especially to get the French toast but I just know more about what not to get or at least how to order better from them. It's a really good place though. My kid is still eating the fried bread. Everything is also very filling & the portions were very good. Hopefully next time will be 5 stars. I think I spent $40 including tip which isn't bad for everything & the congee was very big. We took the meat pieces out & I had to take out the gel pieces from the milk tea. I shouldn't have had to though. I'd put up pictures but this isn't letting me for...
Read moreThe restaurant is small, with about ten tables. You order and pay at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. Service is minimal since it operates more like a takeout spot where you can also dine in. We tried the Curry Combo, Baked Pork Chop with Curry over Rice, Baked Fish & Sweet Corn with White Sauce over Rice, and Beef Brisket Noodle Soup. The Curry Combo was tasty though a bit light on ingredients; the Pork Chop with Curry had a rich, flavorful sauce and was very tender; the Baked Fish and Sweet Corn w. White Sauce over rice came with two big pieces of fish and egg chunks in the rice, though it could use more corn; and the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup was the highlight, with a generous portion of noodles and big, tender chunks of beef. Overall, the food was flavorful and satisfying—definitely...
Read moreThis place is really a hidden gem. I’ve come here before for both breakfast and lunch and they both haven’t disappointed!
Their breakfast combos are such a deal. With a side of either dumplings or fried dough (and the fried dough is super crunchy and amazing) and a drink. For $6.95?! Love to see it. Plus NO tax or tips. It’s amazing which is why you should support them!!
Their lunch is also great. The salads are super big portions and I have trouble finishing it myself. The baked dishes are good and their popcorn chicken are pretty big pieces.
The service is also amazing. The server at the front is really...
