Heena Bagel — Restaurant in New York

I rarely write reviews, as a local I felt compelled to do so for our community & hardworking folks stopping by for breakfast. This place has awful bagels! Worst in our area. I’m a very patient & understanding person & gave them so many chances. However, all of my experiences were the same…underwhelming in flavor, extremely overpriced, and rude service! Additionally, I’ve been charged taxes more than what’s required by New York State every time I go there!! Very shady! Last time I ordered a pumpernickel bagel & it tasted like it had cumin seeds inside…ugh! Never again! Who wants to deal with all of this bagel drama (lol) first thing in the morning?? I was surprised to see such poor ratings here - I'm not a regular but after today i would be! I phoned in my order when i was enroute w/2 hangry young kids. I couldn't get out of car with them so they brought out to my car & let me pay that way. I was surprised/ put off that they didn't accept cc - definitely hurts them from more business including myself cause i never carry cash but i was happy the svc i got. I called several bagel places on Austin before going there - they either didn't pick up the phone, said they don't take phone/ pickup orders (huh?!) or weren't patient enough to walk me thru what flavor bagels they had for my picky eaters. I was waiting to go to the spa across the street and happened upon this place. Let me just say woah! Heena Bagel is amazing. The owners are warm and kind and I always go there for my bacon egg and cheese lightly toasted buttered everything bagel salt pepper ketchup lol 😆. It’s gotten to the point now where they know my order. The bagels are made fresh in house and you can really tell due to the quality and chew with a nice chewy interior and bready crunchy exterior. I travel here from the Jamaica LIRR stop just to get my hands on a Heena bagel and I’m someone who never writes google reviews so you know it has to be...
