Hemo's Spot — Restaurant in New York

I was glad to see a new juice bar/cafe in the neighborhood and wanted to try it out. We ordered a smoothie (Oreo Power I think) and it was delicious (only reason for my 2 stars). We ordered a couple of paninis from the menu (I ordered the only vegetarian option available). We waited almost 25-30 min for our order but it was a nice evening and we were in no hurry so it wasn't a big deal. It also seemed like everyone waited a long time before getting their orders. When we did get our order though, I noticed mine had some red meat in it, I checked with them and they were a bit confused and then told me the meat is Halal. I said I don't eat meat at all and asked if they could redo it correctly this time. I was very clear when I said no meat but the second time, I again get a panini with meat in it - this time with chicken. I went back again to point to the vegetarian (Vegan) panini listen on their menu and this time, they guy read it properly and then told me they don't have the ingredients to make that panini This was after 1 hour after I placed my order initially so needless to say, I was very hungry and irritated. Not wanting to deal with this any further, I settled for a pastry instead and got it to go. It was a few bucks lesser than the price of the panini but I was honestly very tired to deal with it and just wanted to leave. Had they just told me at the very beginning, I would've just got the smoothie and gone to a different place and probably would've been a repeat customer for the smoothies. I don't leave bad reviews usually but this was really bad service and I will not be...

I barely ever write reviews, but this place is literally the worst service in the world. I’ve ordered here before and I’ve had a really long wait for a smoothie (30 minutes). Today I decided to order online to avoid the wait and I show up and there is a long line of angry people waiting for 1 person to make their juices. 4 customers walked out and gave up. I think it goes without saying that my food was not ready and I had to wait another 20 minutes after I had already ordered online. While o waited in the 95 degree sauna that the owner creates by intentionally not turning the a/c on, I noticed that the tables were bit dirty (obviously, nobody was cleaning them because there was only one worker)….And the story doesn’t end there!! I get home and this person made me the completely wrong sandwich. I attempted to call to have the worker/owner remake my sandwich, but he didn’t even bother to answer the phone. The mystery sandwich that I received was actually quite tasty, but was not even close to what I ordered. I would avoid this place unless you would like to deal with...

I love going to Hemo's Spot every now and then to get a drink to cool me off whenever there's warmer weather. Today I went and I got some drinks for me and my family, but when I drank it, something felt off about it. It tasted and felt like there was something in it, and when I checked my tongue there was some string on it from the drink I had. Hemo's Spot in general is very good and they make some very nice food and drinks. If you plan on visiting I recommend not going to the location on Bay Ridge Avenue and instead on the location on the corner of Ovington Ave. FYI, my rating does not represent my feelings towards Hemo's Spot as a whole as I feel that its a very nice establishment, just the Bay Ridge...
