My new favorite restaurant in New York! It opened recently and I’ve already been there twice: Once on Valentine’s Day, which was really lovely—despite being super busy, the service was fast and the food was perfect. Also, I am forever grateful for a dedicated mocktail menu, especially in park slope where that feature is surprisingly rare; nearly every place I looked at exclusively had wine or cocktail pairings for V’Day, which is a bit of a bummer if you don’t drink. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and romantic and the church pews around the outer edges are such a cool touch. The food was fantastic—we had the burrata and little gem salad as starters, the free range chicken au jus and chicken schnitzel as mains, and the skillet brownie and brioche bread pudding for dessert. For drinks, we did a blackberry-like spritzer and raspberry lemonade. Everything was so, so good. I’d go into more detail but I’m not great at articulating specifics on food, so I’ll just summarize the meal and say it was *chef’s kiss* perfect. I liked it so much that I went back for brunch three days later, which is when I ordered the brioche French toast, which was the most incredible, fluffy French toast I’ve ever had. I’m usually more of a waffle or pancake person, honestly, but I’d choose this over those any day. Our server was really nice and super attentive, and honestly everyone who works there has such good style (not that this would impact my rating, lol, but yknow…just noting that it’s a particularly cool spot). We had the warm caramel “blind date” cake for dessert with ice cream and it was absurdly good. All in all, 10/10 will come back (probably next week).

Since Hamilton's is one of my absolute favorite places in Brooklyn, I was really excited to find out that they were opening another sister restaurant that was close to where I live. I got a chance to stop in last weekend for brunch, and I wasn't surprised that this restaurant is just like Hamilton's and Alchemy. It has a nice ambiance, and the food and drinks are fabulous. The service here is splendid as well. They have a good-sized menu, which is similar to Hamilton's, and the prices are reasonable. Hilltop Tavern is a great addition to the Windsor Terrace neighborhood, and I wish the team the best of luck at this location! I will definitely be back in the near future.

We recently hosted our end-of-summer girls’ party at Hilltop Tavern, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the delicious appetizers and fresh salads to the perfectly cooked fish dishes, every bite was a delight. Though we didn’t order any meat options, the menu had plenty of delicious choices, and everything exceeded our expectations. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was perfect for our celebration. A huge thank you to our talented neighbors for making our event unforgettable!

I went for a early dinner/late lunch. It was quite empty, only a few tables were occupied, I assume it was due to going so early. The food was decent and our waiter was friendly and made us feel welcomed HOWEVER there was a rude female (possibly the owner) who completely turned the experience into an unpleasant one and I would never go back. I was there with a baby, another couple was there with a baby and there was someone at a table for one, the rest of the tables were unoccupied. A man and his daughter (around 5 to 6 yrs old) walked in, and asked for a table for 3 and was offered a table by the male waiter. The man and child appeared to want a different table based on what I heard (no big deal, it was very empty), and were walking slowly to their table. A rude female (possibly owner) came from the rear showed the man the table and told him that they would need to sit because she cannot have his child running around the place. The man turned around, the third person from his group had just walker in, and they left - rightfully so.

I see that the man wrote a review and the owner replied in an extremely rude manner. So, the owner clearly doesn't care. She told the man in the response to his review it was best for him not to return to the restaurant - why would anyone want to give an establishment like that business? The owner's response mentions that the man and his child did not respect their safety policies but this is absolutely untrue. The child was in front of her father the entire time, she was not wandering the restaurant or running around. If this restaurant was so concerned about safety then they should put less tables so the restaurant is not so tight with space. This is not a child friendly restaurant even though they have high chairs and a kid's menu.

I have children of my own and seeing what I saw left a bad taste in my mouth and I would prefer to go elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if the owner responds to this in a rude manner or tells me not to return either, but do not worry, I...
