Holy Burger Oakland Gardens — Restaurant in New York

New burger spot right off Union on Springfield, across from the gas station. There's seating inside and option to order on a kiosk or with a human. We chose to order with a human for a sense of normalcy, lol.

They have burgers, some sandos, chicken, ice creams, soda floats, smoothies, fries, tots, and vegan options. We went with the chopped cheese, smashed burger, and small seasoned fries. Came to just over $20; they offer 3% discount if you pay cash.

The service was okay, I got the sense the person taking my order did not want to be there....but the food was good. Fries with good crunch while still soft on the inside, burger and chopped cheese were on point with flavor, size, and were not greasy. It came with a mayo based side sauce, good flavor.

I will return to try other...

I was completely fooled by the online reviews for Holy Cow. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was horrible – cramped, noisy, and just uncomfortable. The service was just as bad, slow and disinterested.

But the real disaster? The food. I ordered the chicken, and it was dry, stale, and tasted horrible – like it had been sitting around for hours. As for the burger, I honestly think it was the worst meat I’ve ever tasted. It had zero flavor, was greasy in all the wrong ways, and left me wondering how this place got any good reviews at all.
