Barrista at the time was a bit cold (thats totally fine, I don't expect or need someone to smile or be pleasant especially if they've been having a hard day for whatever reason).
What wasn't okay was the barista proceeded to have a conversation with a patron where when asked about laptops he said how much he hated having/seeing them and they proceeded to continue on a conversation about this.
I have nothing against ones personal views on this matter, coffee shops actively adopting policies to limit this or having such a discussion privately. Totally understandable
However, when the store is filled with patrons working on laptops (or even if it was just one) at that given moment, I do think its incredibly unprofessional for a member of staff to use words to antagonize patrons in a public setting to the extent that it was done . Its just a super uncomfortable feeling to hear how despised your presence is. Because of this I just left the store after ordering my drink rather than stay to work. And I'm unsure if I'll feel comfortable coming back regardless of who is working.

The staff here keep the space clean and orderly. I like the service here, it is lowkey and a nice place to spend time in. The cons: pastries are ok, have received a few time stale ones. Finding a seat here to relax for a few mins, or to have a quick coffee chat, is often unlikely as many people are posted here browsing on their laptops. The coffee here is a bit pricey and the space and vibe is beautiful, so doing a coffee take-away is a bit disappointing. Outdoor seating is available but unappealing in the...

I still love this spot. The oat lattes (minus the syrup situation) are like sipping a warm hug, and the atmosphere is top-tier—the kind of place where you can relax, read a book, or pretend to work on your laptop. Plus, it’s super close to my place, which is a big win.
Dear coffee shop crew, let’s give that syrup bottle the send-off it deserves and bring in some fresh flavor magic. I’ll definitely be back, but next time, I’m...
