I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jaguar Cafe, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The cozy ambiance, combined with the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee, set the perfect tone for my visit.
The menu at Jaguar Cafe is a delightful fusion of Mediterranean and American flavors. Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or a light lunch, they have something for everyone. Their black jaguar Tarama is a must-try
But what truly sets Jaguar Bistro Cafe apart is the dedication of its owners, Constantino and Vasili. They take pride in sourcing local ingredients and creating dishes that are both delicious and visually appealing. Their passion shines through in every plate they serve.
The service is impeccable â attentive without being intrusive. Constantino and Vasili personally checked in on each table, ensuring that everyone was enjoying their meal. It's evident that they genuinely care about their customers' experience.
And let's not forget the coffee! Jaguar Cafe serves some of the best coffee in Astoria. Whether you prefer a classic cappuccino or a bold espresso, their baristas know how to craft the perfect cup.

Read moreJaguar Café Bistro Bar recently opened a couple weeks ago and is located in the former Savage Sicko spot. I could not find much info on them prior to my visit as they have no website or social media account.
Since I couldnât find much info on them online, I went in person to check out their menu and planned on coming back to dine in on the weekend. Their food menu offers breakfast/brunch items, bar food and desserts. And they also have a full bar featuring signature cocktails, spritzers, mocktails and the usual beer and wine. After chatting with the owner and staff, I ended up ordering a Nutella Crepe with Bananas and Strawberries ($12). The crepe was really good. It had a slightly crunchy middle and was thin and delicate. The classic toppings of Nutella, bananas and strawberries was perfect.
The interior is really lovely, and they have an outdoor area in the back that is perfect for hanging out in nicer weather. The owner and staff were also very welcoming. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the owner came by to introduce himself. When I went after work during the week, it was empty. Hopefully they get more business soon and best of luck to them. This spot, for some reason, doesnât do so well. I hope more people try them out and supports them.
Tip: they have happy hour food and drinks from...
Read moreWant to give more stars because I love the food and coffee, but the service has just been terrible. I always have an issue with one of their employees anytime I go. And today I showed up a little after 8:30 waiting to get a coffee. Not a soul in sight until about 20 minutes later. They then turned me away and told me I need to come back in 5 mins because they are not open. Even though I have gone in there multiple mornings before 9, there door was open and their open sign was out. And Google and THEIR website state they open are open at 8. The entire time I was waiting I could hear the employees downstairs messing around, even after going around the corner to say hello and let them know I was there. I do want to say whenever I go in and the blonde girl is there I get the BEST service! Iâm not sure what her name is but she is always so kind and pleasant. But their service probably explains why itâs so empty every time I walk by. The only people I ever see are the owners sitting around outside. Nothing negative about the food, and the place itself is stunning, but they need better service. And fix the hours to the...
