Terrible experience but third times a charm right. 1 I ordered curry chicken , too much rich and the chicken dry n old . They removed all prices from the wall so they can make it up overprice ,and charge whatever. 1 goat curry and a stew chicken. Goat was nasty and the stew chicken was fatty and to much oil nearly $40. Prior to my experience I had to pick up a $60 pan of rasta pasta, they gave me a pan of dry noodles 1 & 1/2 pepper no heavy cream alfredo sauce definitely nothing is authentic JA food ! Told me to come back 20 minutes to give me a SMALL coffee cup (not a M or Large nor a soup cup) of stinking sauce with too much oil that just smells bad . It takes 10 mins to make alfredo sauce from scratch i gave them nearly 40. The sauce was so clumpy like gravy n nasty , Workers mocking me, Lady behind the counter is attitude & rude is disgusting, refused to call her boss because they messed up. The boss was nice but if those the ppl he hire highly disrespectful & do not recommend! Too expensive for poor quality

So I randomly stumbled upon this Jamaican restaurant in the middle of Jackson Heights which was totally unexpected but I am so glad I did because wow! The oxtail plate that I had has to be some of the best oxtail I've ever had! It was so tender and flavorful that it was literally falling off of the bone. I could cut and eat it with a spoon. She also gave me a nice healthy serving of oxtail gravy as well to go on my rice and veggies which I love! The outside of the place could definitely use some help since the signage is significantly faded so it's easy to miss the restaurant if you're not looking for it. The girl behind the counter was also super helpful and courteous which was very refreshing and goes against the negative stereotypes of carribean customer service. Overall, I will definitely be back for more!

The women working at this place are very disrespectful. The food is not all of that good as people are saying. They over charge for the oxtails. A large plate of oxtails was $20, now it is $25, they count their meat. The people stated that if you get a large oxtails plate you only get 5 piece of meat, a medium plate is 4 piece of meat a small plate is 3 piece of meat. The problem here is that why are they counting the meat and charging you outrageous prices. When the large plate was $20 you got 5 pieces, now the large plate is $25 and you still get five pieces, that is outrageous and robbery to your customers. Furthermore, the oxtails is very oily. The fried chicken is over cooked and hard, the curry goat is salty, the rice is OK, the curry chicken is salty. Maybe they get good reviews from people who dont know about real jamaican food. If you like the food, hey good for you, but they are robbing people with those outrageous prices and then have the nerve to ask you for a tip. Customers are not obligated to give a tip. These women will literally ask you for a tip after you are already paying a crazy price for your food. Go there at...

Only because there's no Half star. For one thing, the pricing is so ridiculous they should be ashamed. No where in all of New York City would you find a Caribbean restaurant (all countries included) that would charge these astronomical prices. $12 for a chicken roti, kiss my grits. The chicken consisted of chicken backs, damn chicken backs. The lowest you can go is thighs and legs. How dare you. Then the genius doesn't know the difference between Dal and Roti. The color alone is a give away. They had it in the fridge and heated it incorrectly thus charging me for a rock. If you're going to sell it then you need to research it. And I'm not sure when the owners changed and this place became a plantation... but I've never heard people use the title of Boss so much. Yes I am Guyanese and I'm familiar with the terms used. But this was like watching 12 years a slave as they tried to address a mistake they made on another customers food. 2 weeks of a boycott would probably shut them down (I wish.) But for now I will just wait until I can make it down the Van Wyck to GT town or the Ave for...
