Following up visit: I visited this salon a day ago and worst experience ever I usually go to one specific hairdresser there and the day I went she wasn’t there but since it’s a salon and everyone should be good I figured anyone could cut my hair, so I went to a hair dresser she didn’t even have a consultation with me she just washed my hair and once we were in the seat asked how much I wanted to cut off I told her how much to cut off and everything was fine until I told her I wanted layers, she started cutting my hair like crazy she looked like Edward scissor hands she chopped off all my hair off and I honestly have to say for the first time ever I cried over a horrible haircut experience I was shocked and honestly felt like the woman cutting my hair did it out of spite maybe she didn’t like me even though I was just a client trying to get a hair cut I honestly don’t feel like coming back I don’t even want nobody cutting my hair at this point. The owner gave me a certificate to get treatment but at this point I don’t think I’ll be going back. What I recommend for anyone coming here to do is please go to an experienced hair dresser there don’t just go to anyone because not everyone who says there a hairdresser really knows how to cut hair. Now I have to figure out what I’m gonna do with my hair whether it be extensions or wearing a wig until my hair grows back unnecessary expenses I have to make now because this hairdresser didn’t listen to what I wanted.

This review should have been done years ago. This Salon is not your typical hair salon. Each and every stylist here does the common things hair dressers do... wash, dry, style, cut, blow dry, relaxer , flat iron etc. They do all types of hair Hispanics, African American, Caucasian, Asian, Russian etc. . They all have an art or gift. I go there because I’ve maintained my hair short, very short for years. After searching for the perfect person and traveling near and far, I found Aramelis (Paola)two blocks from my house, that does short hair. I’ve been there almost 6 years now. And the icing on the cake is not only their reasonable prices .. but.. right next door attached to Salon is the best Nail Place this side of Northern Blvd on Astoria Blvd. My ingrown haven’t been better 😆 There’s no traveling to 2 places.... just 1 to get all your pampering needs. So please take my word for it.... You won’t break the bank, you’ll be treated kindly and with respect. They have great hours too. Only...

Recently moved to Jackson Heights and needed a great Dominican hair salon for the long-term.

Came across Amiris hair salon through a Google search as the Top 10 best hair salons in the area. I must say Google was not wrong for mentioning Amiris as the top 10 best hair salons in Jackson Heights.

My hairdresser was Paula (Loved her). She was very nice, attentive, and a true hair dresser that cares about your hair and makes you feel welcome.

The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and professional.

The salon is immaculate and clean. I never been to a hair salon so clean and well organized as Amiris hair salon.

Finally, I found a hair salon that is honest, customer service oriented, welcoming, friendly, quality over quantity when it comes to your hair. I am glad I found this hair salon and will be my permanent spot.
