I want to thank the young woman who helped us tonight around 6 pm on 11/25/2023. She was the most warm, friendly, and personable retail person we've encountered in NYC and gave great recommendations. We tried the chocolate chip caramel stuffed cookie pie, the pie crust apple, triple berry and Guava/cream cheese cookies. OMG, I could have eaten ten of the guava/cream cheese pie crust cookie. What a flavor punch! Has a perfect balance of sour from the Guava to rich and buttery of the pie crust to give an excellent balance. Perfectly crispy and flaky, but not too flaky, and the cookie stays perfectly together without going everywhere like you might expect pie crust to do. Life-changing is accurate! Wish I had photos but devoured them before I got a chance. 😬😊 please note for any intending to go, this is a very small shop with no sitting room. i adore janie's!!!!! my fav part of pie is the pie crust so i thought pie crust cookies would be amazing and they not only lived up to my expectations but totally exceeded them. genius combo!!! my fav was surprisingly the choco (but triple berry is the undisputed major fav among everyone i know, and the staff seem to agree). the price point is fair and affordable and they are open quite late for a bakery, so i always stop by for a post-dinner snack if i'm in the area. can't count how many people i've taken here -- definitely the best novelty cookie of nyc in my book.

the staff are always so sweet (pun intended) and friendly whenever i go in no matter what hour it is. they're always cherry and happy to explain the menu and share their favorites. the only non-pie cookie i've had is the choco chip one, which was very good but cannot beat the pie cookie in my heart. shocked that this place/chain hasn't gone viral compared to other nyc...

I’m an e-commerce customer and good lord these are the BEST cookies ever made, ever ever ever made! I’d drop kick Cookie Monster if he tried to put his blue hands on my order! I’ve sent these all over but mostly to my house, shhhhh. Lol.

Please tell me Easter cookies will be able to order? I can’t find anything close to yours. Those funfetti sugar cookies are amongst my favorites. I should have ordered more.
