Wanted to meet a mate for an early evening catchup and looked for a place on the UWS right off the 1 train. The Dublin House was perfectly located. This was my first visit to this pub and had no expectations outside of the few reviews I read on Google Maps. The Dublin House didn’t disappoint. As soon as I walked in I felt at home encountering all the anticipated sights, sounds and smells. The interior had a typical pub layout with plenty of bar space and adjacent tables. The bartender was pleasant and solicitous without being over bearing. Prices for beer and whiskey were reasonable and in line with Manhattan if not slightly cheaper. Because we met for drinks at 4pm, we shared the bar with only a handful of other patrons. As it's quite central I expected the prices to be quite pricey, however the drinks were reasonably priced and very tasty cocktails. The customer service was great, the bartender was quick to take our order and make our drinks for us with a smile.
