I am fairly new to this library specifically, so I must have missed the memo that some staff are rude while others are sweet and understanding.
I had such an awful experience with one of the staff members here when I went to check out. He had such a nasty response over not knowing how to check books out!! Here’s an idea: maybe explain it to me like I’m a person, not an idiot! There was no need for him to address me the way he did—it was rude and unnecessary!
His colleague on the other hand was kind and patient before this awful experience. I had a question regarding a book, and she took the time to clearly explain my options. Not once did she treat me like I was some kind of monstrous imbecile, unlike some other staff members in...

Such a shame that a library that could be such a lovely experience is staffed with people that appear like they would rather work anywhere else...

The staff here is rude and unwelcoming. They seem to treat people as if they have some kind of agenda or motive. I asked if there was a place where someone could have a work meeting (context: I am a NYC public school teacher and had a meeting with a parent), such as a community space, and I was told "you need to do that outside." Very sad at my...
