I recently started working nearby and was craving a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich one day so I looked up local places to order from. John's Diner popped up in my search and I saw all the Google reviews so decided to order. It was delivered so QUICK!! AND I have to say, it was DELISH! It was still hot when it arrived, and the roll was so soft and fresh! The bacon was crispy as well as I had requested. Fast forward to today...I decided to order again...a BLT with Mayo and Cheese. Again such speedy delivery....but one thing I have to say....the presentation of their sandwiches...it was so neatly presented....perfectly cut and wrapped and placed in a nice aluminum container. I mean....I have worked in foodservice for my entire adult career....and its something that someone else may think is so minor but presentation is just as important as quality of the food you serve. It shows that they took the time and effort to plate it nicely. Again, my requests were followed to the T and my sandwich was fresh and delicious. I will continue to order from John's Diner for my meals while I am working nearby. It's all in the details, and John's Diner got the memo. Thank you to the staff at John's for making my lunch time just a little...
Ā Ā Ā Read moremy wife and I come here at least twice a month for the breakfast special. it is a cozy place not fancy but not not too laid back. it offers a true small diner experience. the food is good. the service is fast. the portions are nice. the prices are reasonable. the owner is very friendly you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his food service and location. this diner serves a diverse cultural community and provides a much needed service to the community. the staff goes out of there way to help you have a great experience. the diner is on a Westchester ave, in the Bronx New York, which means it doesn't have a parking structure, nyc parking regulations apply( metered parking 7am to pm except sunday).i will tell you.....FEED THAT METER.the nyc traffic agents are psychic. they can sense when your meter has run out. if your in the area between 8am and 11am and are looking for a good breakfast. stop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in the Bronx with my mother for a funeral. We were early so we decided to get some coffee. On Westchester Ave, we were expecting only a Dunkin Donuts but I was in the mood for a diner. I didn't think I'd find one but lo and behold, I looked up and there was a diner sign across the street from the Dunkin Donuts. We walked inside and it turned out to be a 50s style diner with chrome and mirrors everywhere and pictures of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe. Omg it was exactly what I wanted. Mom ordered a Western omelet and coffee and I got a buttered bagel and coffee. It was delicious. And it only came to about $12.00. The service and the atmosphere were great. If I'm ever in the area again, I would go...
