Such a cute little spot. We ordered the potato croquettes, spicy rice cakes, sweet and spicy wings, bulgogi omurice and the short ribs, and lemme tell y'all....the food was bomb. If I had complaints it would be that the rice cakes were few and overcooked/maybe reheated but it was 6pm on a Monday and the flavor was still amazing. Croquettes were the perfect crispiness and the gravy was phenomenal, the wings were to die for (perfect batter and sauce flavor+texture), bulgogi omurice was packed with flavor, I took half of it home and ate it a few hours later, and the short ribs were killer. I highly recommend this spot and I know I'll be back, there are too many menu items left to try!!

EDIT: Had to drop a star because I ordered delivery today and I didn't get the same food as I did last time. I was so impressed when I tried it two days ago that I had to order again, but the wings we ordered on Monday were amazing....the wings I got today had a completely different sauce and weren't that great. I was really disappointed because the Sweet and Spicy sauce was SO GOOD, not sure if they ran out or what, but I got the gochujang sauce used for bibimbap on my wings instead today and that was not what I ordered or wanted. I enjoy gochujang as much as the next person but if I wanted that slathered on my wings, I would ask for it or even do it myself, it's not what I ordered. I'm disappointed but I will say the food here is still amazing. I just hope consistency is better in the future or that this was just a one-off and it doesn't...

This is my updated review. I decreased my review for one star only because I tried today a magnificant seafood ramen (no shells inside👍), but the seafood pancakes were too plain and greasy (for my taste), w/o detectable seafood inside, scallions only, and they were a bit pricy ($17). Apart from that, this is a place to try an extremely tasty and authentic Korean food. A dazzling array of different flavors, combined with a friendly service and agreeable, cosy space. I specially liked acidity that majority of the food had. A local spot when you can take a good bite. I strongly reccomend their special Bibim bap, a Korean rice dish, which is served with greens and a meat of your choice (I had a spicy pork). Along with their homemade soybean soup, it comes for only $18! And that's a good bargain, no doubt. Next time I have to try their homemade dumplings. All in all, a very good place to have your lunch or dinner in Astoria, Queens. P.S. They bring to you a check w/o asking you would you like to eat more, and that is something I really don't like. It happened to me twice already :( There is a lot of space for improvement, but food is...

A hidden gem for amazing Korean food!

This restaurant is cozy and narrow with decently priced food. There isn't too much seating though - about five 4-seat tables and three 2-seaters. The chairs were kinda uncomfortable, and the cushion wouldn't really stay in place. There also wasn't much space at the smaller table for all the food and side dishes, so it was very cramped.

Aside from the poor furniture choices, the food was well worth the discomfort. First, there's a simple QR code to scan for the menu. The menu is simple and each dish has a corresponding photo. The special combo was very worth it, as it came with two dishes.

I got the 'Bulgogi or Spicy Pork + Tofu Stew' set. The tofu stew was incredible. The broth was so flavorful and addicting. Plus, it came with lots of ingredients - tofu, mushrooms, egg, and kelp (?). The bulgogi was also very flavorful and sweet. It came out on a sizzling plate so make sure you let it cool down a bit. And ofc, every Korean restaurant has unlimited banchan (side dishes). Normally I only like one or two at other restaurants but l liked every single side dish that I literally cleaned...

Cozy little restaurant with a minimal, no frills but kinda hip looking décor. The service here was excellent and the food comes fast to your table. They offer various lunch options in the $12-18 range. They also have daily specials during the week that are even more affordable with dishes ranging from $4-8. I went on a Tuesday and ordered the japchae for $4! The portion was decent for the price. Highly recommend getting the pork belly buns. They were excellent! Portion of pork belly to bun was just right. This is currently my favorite dish on the menu. I also ordered the Hot Pot Bulgogi lunch which is more soupy than a regular bulgogi dish. The Hot Pot Bulgogi came sizzling to my table in a small stone pot. Along with it was a bowl of rice and three side dishes which consisted of potato salad, broccoli, bean sprouts and kimchi. The food felt very authentic and fresh. And the bowls and utensils were earthenware and wood (love!)- it was overall a great food presentation. Korean food can sometimes be very expensive. It's nice to have an affordable option here in Astoria. I will definitely be visiting again.
