Place is really trying to set itself apart, but it's not there. The owner has some really tasty sounding, fancy pizzas on the menu, but it just doesn't pan out like you'd imagine. I had the Affumicata Pizza. This is the only time I've visited the establishment. The sauce seems fresh enough, but it needs something. Sauce looks like fresh crushed tomatoes, thick with small chunks of tomatoes but it's lacking taste and flavor. Bland. The smoked buffalo mozzarella is more chewy and hard than anything, and the smoke flavor is a bit off. Smoked cheeses should be aromatic but still soft and melt in the mouth. The pesto sauce is a shocking dark green. Squirted onto the pie in little wiggly lines from a squeeze bottle. It's not spread onto the pizza and the color is not appetizing, almost artificial looking. The pizza was a disappointment. Bland was the word. Lacked flavor and a little low on the salt. Was nowhere near the worst pizza I had, but not good as you'd think it was based on the certificates on the wall depicting the pizza courses the proprietor had attended in Italy. Fancy Italian names on the large selection of inventive and eclectic pizza pies, I just wish they lives up to the hype. Either way they deserve 3.5 stars and not 3. The workers are friendly enough and they place is small, but clean and brightly lit. There's 2 pictures of the proprietor meeting an actor and Kobe Bryant. I actually wished I liked the food more, feel bad leaving 3 stars but feel dishonest of I'd left 4 stars. I am basing my review on one visit, trying some Margherita slices and an...

So I was hesitant to post because you can never be sure about these things, but I think it’s necessary. We have strong reason to believe this place gave my fiance really bad food poisoning. 2-3 hours after having pizza from there, it entirely came up and she got a low-grade fever. She felt entirely fine before, picked up a couple slices to go, ate them, and then an hour or so later, boom. Nausea and just
well, you know what happens next. I will delete this review if management comes back and acknowledges this message and that they are taking steps to improve. Food poisoning culprits are tough to identify, but we’re pretty confident, and we love this pizza place, so just want to make sure they clean up shop and don’t leave slices sitting out so long. We don’t want it to happen to others if this is in fact something...

Just got my first order from here and was blown away. Probably the best and most authentic Sicilian pizza I’ve had in NYC — typically the ones I get are good, but pretty crusty and just thick regular pizza dough. This Sicilian was so thick that you will likely get some sauce on your face as you bite into it, but it’s still so airy and light. No chewing and ripping it off. The salami picante we added on was delicious and there was enough for every bite. The sauce was simple and delicious as was the mozzarella. I could not in good conscious order pizza from...

such incredible pizza- i was honestly shocked at how good it was. it doesn’t LOOK the best, but the crust is truly unmatched
it’s so light, airy, and crispy. it’s the perfect amount of chew to it. the sauce is on the heavy side, but it’s very delicious- a little tangy, and not too sweet. there wasn’t a lot of cheese, which is the way i prefer it. the mozz was high quality and not gluey- we only had the margerhita slice but i want to try the other slices, especially the square slices.

Yes! Awesome and authentic. The perfect crisp crust. Delicate balance of tomato sauce, cheese and toppings on the abruzzese. Only one small not: with just a touch of additional salt, the flavors just popped. Also, while not traditional and authentic, but still incredibly delicious, the chicken parm calzone was awesome. It travelled better than the pizza. There is a little extra dough on the ends, but that’s what you expect from a calzone. Bravo!

My family is from the South and let me just say, I have NEVER had pizza this good in my life. We drove all throughout Brooklyn looking for pizza places and L’Arte dell Pizza made the best pizza I’ve ever had by far. I highly recommend the Brooklyn style pizzas and their Magheritas. Their pizza made our entire vacation!
