Read moreSo honest review with many videos as photos !! We came around 12:30 pm on a Sunday 3/10/24 and there was a super short line we are so happy we came early because as soon as we ordered our food the line went to the corner! They have seating outside but there is cover and heat … there are bench style takes that are shareable don’t be afraid to ask a couple of you can share their table it is done regularly ! We were able to get a table with in 15 minute of ordering our food we just eye balled and looked at a table that seemed almost close to be done and grabbed it once they stud up.
Now let’s talk about the staff :
Vinnie , Chris and Cali were great o think the guy with curly hair may have been Chris very nice guy taking our order and cali was a doll after we ate I asked if we can get our gelato after we eat so that it doesn’t melt we realized after we ate how great the pastries are so I asked her hey do I have to wait in line again since we already ordered our food she said no problem and let me buy more pastries !! Awesome service !!
Let’s talk about the stuff everyone cares most about !!! The food !!
Sooo … we ordered 2 barata Slices , 1 pepperoni slice and one vodka pepperoni focaccia square , 2 cokes , 3 Krispy pupped pastries layer cake and 1 carrot cake and oh yes the gelato !! We got the olive oil and clementine swirl !! Cost was a total of $78.00 this includes the tip I gave.
Let’s talk taste and the pro and cons..
1st off pastries are A1 best pastries I’ve had in a while just perfection!! The layered one was light, airy , crunchy and perfect balance not to sweet not to dull it was perfect that’s why I ordered 2 more !! The carrot cake was very fresh and well made not over powering just a perfect bland as well!! The gelato !!
The gelato!!!!
This needs its own paragraph so I was really wanting to try pistachio it they only had olive oil and clementine so I was not sure which to try and Cali suggested a swirl with both flavors she then drizzled olive oil on top and a pinch of salt a first I was like hmm not sure about that but I promise this is mind blowingly amazing !! So good !
The pizza !!
The pepperoni and vodka sauce focaccia square was the best !! That dough is crunchy on the outside and airy and fluffy on the inside! The hooks sauce had a smoke to it was amazing and the pepperoni was very good
The regular Baratta slice was very nice thin dough perfectly cooked had that cheetah print dough bottom (people who call this turnoff pizza burnt have no clue about what a nice char is) I love pizza like that the Baratta was perfect !! I liked this slice a lot with the fresh basil.
The pepperoni slice… honestly it was not bad at all same at the Baratta with out Baratta and with pepperoni I just felt it was too salty .. not sure if it’s the pepperoni or that something was off other then this we had a great time and enjoyed the food very much !!
I would suggest get there 12-12:30 past that the line will Be way to long...
Read moreThe last stop of my NYC pizza tour! I've heard a lot about L'Industrie on social media recently as well on various websites suggesting ' Must visit pizza places' in Williamsburg, BK. Usually not a big fan of social media aka Instagram influencers but they were right about this one!
Initially greeted with the huge line which scared me off a bit as I was already tired of walking continuously for almost 3 hours! But that feeling of getting across the finish line motivated me to give this a shot!
The restaurant/store is small and doesn't have much ambience as such apart from a signed Marco Materazzi, Inter Milan jersey hanging there! They serve Italian desserts like olive oil cake, tiramisu, gelato apart from their signature pizza's!
The staff was really organized enough to handle a big crowd and efficiently they did their job! The order process is as follows: You stand in a line, staff calls you inside, you place an order, you are handed a buzzer and finally when turn comes, you pick up the order.
I went for a regular cheese slice followed by a burrata slice! Tbh not much of a difference as both were cheese slices apart from added burrata! As for the pizza, the quality was awesome.. probably the best one in terms of quality in NYC I've had and they get this one over Fini's (my previous review). The crust was thin, crisp and just perfect along the perfect mix of the tomato sauce and cheese with both complimenting each other while the basil leaves provided their own unique flavor! As for the burrata slice, things go in a similar way but with burrata on it!
To conclude, there's no doubt that if you want to grab the best pizza slices in NYC... Simply head to Williamsburg and L'Industrie is a place to be especially if you are patient enough or learning to be...
