I have been a customer of Chelsea Garden Center Williamsburg for a long time. It is such a wonderful place to get a plant for your lovely home and their plants are lotating every season of the year. It became my hobby nowadays and I like to check it up if they have any new plants. From time to time I bought some houseplants like sansevieria Moonshine, Thai tower and Francisii. They still live and grow more and more (I also put picture of them on this review) Everytime I shop at this garden center, I bring my dog with me and he loves it. They are pet friendly and all staff are very nice and welcoming. I'm a fan of this place now and very excited to see if they have a new plant coming for spring and summer. 2024 I'm into plant shopping at the moment. It's nice to live in such a hipster area and have many garden places to enjoy. They have huge plant pot collection from small to giant, Indoor and outdoor plants. The big difference from another garden place is they have big house plants like Rubble plant, Bird of Paradise, over 15 years of jade plant, etc.

Just visited this afternoon and I can say I have found my new favorite plant place! They have tons of options at very reasonable prices. All the plants looked in good condition and well cared for. I'm only taking a star off because of the staff. There were two young girls, one at the register and the other one walking around. They were not really helpful at all and when I asked them if they had a pot for the size of my plant they looked at me like "???". I also expected for them to ask me if I needed any information on how to take care of the plants or offer me any tips but nope. Here are your plants and here's your receipt, bye. Other than the staff I definitely recommend this place for their variety and their prices!

Both the fig tree and succulent I got from them at different times turned out to be in bad condition and sick. The succulent had red mites all over it and half of its leaves fell off in a week, also risking contaminating my other plants. When I called to get a replacement plant or a refund their reply was to suggest that they can give advice for treating mites. Given that they are selling nearly all plants at almost double prices than many competitors I would expect that the plants would be in good condition or that they would replace sick plants. Had so much better experiences with the Sill etc in this regard. I won’t be going back again.

I have shopped many times at the Red Hook Center in the past two years. 9/27/19 I ordered a Saucer Magnolia Tree in person, including $60 for delivery fee, which, for the tree and delivery was $260. Was told "a few weeks tops". Six weeks go by and no tree, I call and they are very apologetic, the staff speaks to the owner and "you'll have the tree within a week". It's now well into November and frankly I don't want to plant a tree in November, so I decide it's best to wait until spring. I email 2/28, never get a response. Covid happens sadly. April 19th I see the Williamsburg store is open, so I call and speak to someone and explain the situation, they are again apologetic and ask me to send the receipt in an email, I do so. I do not hear back, so I email and ask to confirm they received it, they respond a few days later, 4/24 that they have. I don't hear back so I email on 5/9 and ask what the issue is. 5/15 I email almost a demand for my refund, again for a tree I paid for WITH DELIVERY from 9/27/19. I get an email on 5/19 again apologizing for the delay and to 'bear with them as they're operating out of one store.' It has now been 16 days since that email, and I hope anyone & everyone reads this with caution, as I can't remember a time when I have dealt with such poor customer service. I have tried for months to be patient and understanding and the time to be patient has...

Williamsburg location TERRIBLE neighbors, VERY rude, and worst of all violate regularly NYS Environmental Conservation Law, 6 NYCRR, Subpart 217-3, prohibits heavy duty vehicles, including non-diesel and diesel trucks and buses with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 8,500 pounds, from idling for more than five minutes at a time.

On a regular basis they leave tractor trailers on Hope street that deliver their pallets of soil deliveries idling for hours. Today, Wednesday July 15th at 12:00pm again on Hope street a delivery truck was left unattended, blocking a fire hydrant, and idling for well over the allowed duration. I politely brought this to the attention of staff receiving the delivery on sidewalk and was rudely notified that the trucking company “doesn’t work for them” and immediately turned her back on me. I again politely asked her to make attempts to resolve and was completely ignored. I rang their office expressed my concern and was placed on hold for 15 min and then disconnected.

I would love to support this local business but unfortunately will never visit them again. So sad to see them turn their back on their neighbors and support structure at a time when we should be supporting...
