La Abundancia — Restaurant in New York

I’m not one to leave bad reviews under businesses but, what I experienced this early morning with my family was outrageous. Before I get into what happened I do want to point somethings out; I understand restaurants might be busy therefore there will be a wait. I’m also very aware that most businesses are currently under staff and are trying their best to provide the best service. My family suggested this spot since they have been to other locations. It was great because it is open 24 hours. However, their customer service is horrible; me and my boyfriend waited in a line for over 40 mins because they were prioritizing those they knew WITHOUT THEM HAVING TO MAKE THE LINE. The same line me and my boyfriend had been waiting for quite some time now. This did not just happen with one person it was a WHOLE GROUP that was coming in from a salsa event. As they came in they were served and attended by staff AT THEIR TABLES. Some others started asking the people in front of us to get them stuff and again it wasn’t only 1 person. Staff noticed this and still served them and accepted extra money so those people wouldn’t have to make the line. I personally think that’s so unprofessional! There was a line for a reason! You don’t get to pick and choose your customers! The same group that they had been serving eventually broke out a fight which almost nearly hit me. I also wanted to try their bakery but while we waited we noticed a few flies on the other side of the glass…PLEASE DO NOT GO WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AT THIS SPOT. They clearly could careless about you as a customer since family and friends go in to eat and that’s...

I live just down to that store like 4 houses down and me and my girl everyday we use to take a coffee and a bread from here but 1 day I make my order to go ....i order 2 bread ,2 coffee and 2 chicken empanada coz we like chicken empanadas only from here but actually the thing happen is I found that was the wrong bread and the empanada is also 1 chicken and 1 beef it was not what I want so immediately I go back in 2 mints to change my order for my bread only but the lady told me we cannot change the order for you I don't even touch that bread I took it how she give it to me now it's just only be 2 mints she don't want to change I just pay $16,17 without eating ...At first point she was bg and in rush I nicely even asked her are you guys bg? she said little bit bg and she was doing the other work also in rush and trying to do fast and even most of the employees don't speak English too much so it's a little bit language...

I live around the corner and come once a week. I have never had a problem until recently. Last week I bought bread from the bakery and it had a long black hair. I disregarded this as a one time mistake and went back today (a week later) to order food. In the hot food section I noticed there was a long black hair on the plantain and cheese. I told the lady who was working there. She put the pan to the side. It would have been ideal to see her throw that dish away in the garbage as it is likely they removed the hair and put it back which is an unfortunate way to handle the situation. I also informed the lady that there was a hair in my bread last week. I am sad the cleanliness here is declining as this was my go to spot once a week since it was walking distance...
