I love the food but the service is horrible sometimes. It's not my fault there life choices have them working in the food industry. It seems there upset or in a bad mood a hour before they close. It's the service industry your customers provide your paycheck and tips. I come here every week when I drive down from CT to see my mother and consistently buy a family size combo. I come in today and there basically empty there's only 1 guy waiting for his order and 5 workers behind the counter. They all see me and just ignore me while they chit chat and wash dishes for over 10 minutes. I have never waited this long in a place that's empty with 5 capable employees, straight up ignoring me. I said excuse me to ask a question and was ignored twice and on the 3rd try she finally answered me like I was bothering her. I also waited a few minutes in between the questions because I wasn't trying to upset anyone making my food, if you know what I mean. I was in my comfy clothes (hoodie, sweats) hair in a messy bun and I think that played a part and they didn't recognize me because I always come after work, so I'm usually well dressed hair done and full face of makeup. It's literally sucks to spend your hard earned money in a restaurant and to not be seen or acknowledged while you wait patiently. If I wasn't already in a good parking spot I would have gone to Caridad Restaurant in Kingsbridge because they have excellent spanish...
Read moreI usually leave good reviews. But I had a bad experience today. It's been my second time here. The food was great. BUT!!! I ordered a small soup to go in a container, I changed my mind and told her I would sit and eat there. The lady looked annoyed and poured it in a container, and brought it to me. I think she may have gotten upset that I asked for a soup in a to go container, then changed my mind that I would eat there. Same as I did last time, which the portion was reasonable, I usually dont eat it all and take the rest with me. BUT No lie this time. different story. All the soup had was two small pieces of chicken (chicken wing, a small piece of chicken breast), a small piece of potato, and like a quarter size Yuca size of a yuca fry. The rest broth. I paid 12 bucks and left. I meant to go back to question the price and portion. Probably, to understand that maybe there was mistake but the one that served me and the one I paid weren't the same. It's not even worth arguing for. The to go price is $9, and to stay in is $12. The price is NOT a big deal it was just the portion to me. JUST a cup of broth, not acceptable. I saw someone elses soup plate, and at least their serving looked like a rich chicken noodle soup. I wouldn't go again. Thanks,...
Read moreI give them 4 stars for the food, but 1 star for customer service and prices! The food is really good, I've had everything from chicken, pernil, sancocho, soup, steak. The lemonade is also good. Now to the customer service.. They have horrible customer service. We stopped going here because the ladies would ignore us even though we were standing right in front of them wanting to order. This happened almost every single time we would go.
On top of the horrible customer service, their prices are ridiculous. They charge $8+ for a small lunch with chicken when restaurants in the neighborhood charge as little as $6 for the same meal. On top of the price they also charge tax, so you're basically paying almost $10 for a small chicken lunch. The entrees are over priced as well. For any entree they want $15-$22 to serve it with rice and beans, that's just ridiculous. I have never paid that price for that kind of meal. They really price their meals as if they are an upscale restaurant, but they are...
