Nuevo Azteca — Restaurant in New York

I ordered today and just finished eating. I did delivery and received my food (4 pork tacos) in about 25-30 minutes; which really isn't bad.

The food itself was great and came hot with extra condiments. I can only speak for the tacos; but for what it's worth, I'm making this my goto order. The pork was tender and they add a good amount of veggies and sauce without overdoing it. I would definitely order from here as opposed to dominoes as the food is "cleaner" without sacrificing taste. That is completely personal, and some other people may like greasy-fried food, but if you are like me and would rather stay away from that then Azteca is for you. No complaints on the food.

The only major issue I had was the delivery man asking me for a tip after I paid and he handed my cash. I am not from a country where tipping is the norm, and this is the second time where I've been asked to tip upon recieving a service. I would gladly support this business as it's not like I'm strapped for cash, but outright asking me for a tip put me in an uncomfortable position. It was cold and he made the effort to give me my food, and I gave him money from my change after he asked. I get it may seem offensive but some people like myself were just not raised in a tipping culture, and I'd like for more American workers to be aware of that (no disrespect to the deliveryman). In the future I will definitely be sure to tip as I enjoyed the food overall and the workers do deserve their fair compensation.

The second but frankly minor issue I had was the food's packaging. They did well, but put too many napkins into the bag. I feel like 3-4 strips of napkin is all people really need, and the environment would do better without the extra waste. It is once again a really minor issue but it wouldn't do them any harm (would actually save them some money) to reduce the amount of napkins they give.

The last thing isn't an issue but more of a warning. These folks are not native English speakers and it may take you a good 5 minutes longer to get your address and number down, but that is not a big deal. Just something to note.

There seems to be a lot of mixed reviews but I am overall pleased. 4 stars, and will main this establishment for when I can't be bothered...

This place will blow your mind in a bad way. I can’t believe the disorganization between waitresses. It started with my group arrived and the waitress had no idea of where to sit us. The place was almost entirely empty and there were plenty of seats. So they sit us in a table to then ask us to move to another table. Then the waitress takes our drink order and brings the 3/5 drinks wrong. They don’t even give you a glass with ice for the soda or a simple cup. Then they took forever to make the food which was mostly tacos and on top of that she forgot one order. So after 25min waiting she only brings 4/5 orders. My food has pork and it consisted of 80% pure fat, To say the least I got food poisoning after eating their pork and I threw up later that night. I would never ever recommend this place. Please DO NOT GO THERE.

Take out was good and given in a reasonable time. I haven't use delivery or sitting. I'm giving 3 stars rating only because two employees started arguing in front of me about what was available for the day. Afterwards the waitress was mad and throw the change on the desk rather than putting the bills on my hand although the whole situation had nothing to do with me. The customers shouldn't have to face situations like this because poor training or incompetence...
