La Negra Simone — Restaurant in New York

On Thursday, October 24, 2024, at approximately 7:46 PM, I brought pernil only from this restaurant. On today, October 26, 2024, at approximately 4:50 PM, I went back to this restaurant to buy the same thing and was told customers can not buy meat only without rice, rice and beans, or a side. I explained I was there Thursday with my cousin when the woman and man there today were there and we both brought meat only. The woman called the owner and hung up and told me no. I left came back and asked to speak to the owner who was unapologetically nasty and said I won't get meat only and asked me to leave. It should be noted the two employees I have aleays encountered barely speak or understand english. My 1st tine ever going in there my order was wrong e en with me explaining what I wanted. This is a predominantly english speaking neighborhood and the employees should be able to assist us without having this language barrier. After my 1st timed I vowed to never get anything from there again. I went back anyways instead of following my intuition. Lastly, a business should not be selling things to customers when it is convenient for them or works in their favor. If you sell something close to closing that same thing should be sold the same way anytime of the day because that is what the customers will expect....

I stopped by this new restaurant in Harlem and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. You could tell how fresh the food was. Even though Negra Simone Home Cuisine is a restaurant the food tasted home made. When I walked in I was greeted and made to feel extremely welcome. I highly recommend this tasty stop when near Harlem...
