Be prepared to spend money and leave hungry. Nobody at my table enjoyed their food. The mushroom truffle croquette appetizer was the best food here. I ordered the Hawaiian chicken and for $22 at a so called "gourmet restaurant", I thought I would have been served a nice piece of grilled chicken with pieces of ham steak and two pineapple rounds with white rice. What i received instead was four thin slices of hard chicken with cartilage attached, pieces of sliced deli ham, and a few triangles of pineapple swimming in cream based orange sauce. I asked for no cilantro but there was cilantro in the rice. Another person at the table ordered machu pichu salmon which was served cold with squares of over cooked salmon nestled in a sea of quinoa. Another person ordered the lamb chops which tasted fine but it was served on an uneven metal rack on top of burning wood in a circular box. The lamb was cooked nicely but the potatoes were over done and the sauce for the pita had so much citrus that it overpowered the sauce. It's sad to say that I was eating cashews that I purchased earlier in the day at the table. The server we had was nice but confused as she forgot one person ordered a drink. The food does not come out together. One woman walks around with a scowl on her face and does not seem to be doing anything for the restaurant. The music had too much bass, and there was a movie on the TV with half-naked men on the screen. I wish I didn't have to spend $60 on basically a drink and appetizer just to cook when I came home because I left hungry.

Came on a Sunday evening and was seated in doors right away. The waitress was very sweet. The food was great, no complaints. We ordered the passion fruit and guava sangrias but they both tasted the same lol like white sangria. Unfortunately, me and my friend could barely hear each other because the table of 6 closest to us were scream talking at each other. They were like two tables away us and we could still hear their entire convo. I kept hearing random burst of “shhhhh!” but I wasn’t sure if it was coming from the other tables around them, the bartender or if they were doing it to each other lol it was weird and my ears were not happy. I just wished the waitress or manager told them to lower their voices just a TAD bit out of consideration for the other guests around them. And yes I get it, it’s a restaurant and people will be loud but they were literally screaming at each other the entire time. Nevertheless, their “pour decisions” neon sign is def an eye catcher and the whole ambiance is very calm and inviting. I would def go again.

I took my friend here to dinner for her birthday on 01-03-25. On Friday nights there is live music with intermission for regular music. The ambiance is cute and cozy. Great date spot. The menu is broken into 3- sections. We asked the waitress what this meant. She explained it was broken into portion sizes. So Raciones is small, Platillos is medium, and Tablas is full meal size. We ordered two items from the Raciones and Platillos section. EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious. We had the: guac, croquetas, seared tuna, and mofonguitos. I told the waitress it was my friend’s birthday. They sang happy birthday ( very lively), gave us tres leches ( amazing!!) and had a birthday sign. I ordered the lamb chops to go-it SLAPPED aka it was perfect. I don’t know what is in the green sauce but it was soo good. I can’t speak on the drinks because we ordered wine. You have the option of having either an 6oz or 9oz glass. The service and hospitality was great. Bless the chef(s). I will definitely be going back !!!

========== Update March 2025 Lasala is still my favorite restaurant! There were three of us and we got the salmon, the mussels, and the mac and cheese. The mussels came with chorizo which was very nice. It's in a red liquid as mussels always tend to be with some liquid and nice bread to soak it up. The mac and cheese came with some shredded pork. Again very nice and the salmon was the salmon. They tend to get busy on Saturdays, so it's good to have a reservation. Is they're not real busy at like 5:00 when they open but they will accommodate you. They'll tell you that oh may have to be finished by 7. 2 hours is plenty of time to have a nice meal. And they take very good care of you. Again, my favorite restaurant. One Note: It's a very elegant. Interior in the seating is great. I'm in the outer area which is not part of the main building. It's an add-on. It's nice but it's really unheated which is neither here nor there. It's not as elegant, but the door that lets you in looks like a $79 door from home Depot. They should upgrade the door so it's a little more elegant. Specifically just the door. I would suggest a commercial door with some elegant cast ironish metal grill covering the whole door both sides.

I can't say anything good about La Sala. The reason LabSala is Way beyond good, think words that begin with f- fabulous, fantastic, and flavorful! The person who leads you on to your journey at La Sala is the fabulous Jesse, that's one of the names she uses. It's the one that all of us can relate to and pronounce. I'll add her other name once I figure out how to spell it. Probably within the next week. She remembers when we were there 3 or 4 months ago and my wife was drinking cranberry juice and I was having sangria, blackberry sangria. La Salas sangria is not to be Missed!. Just one glass and you will appreciate it. I will be posting their menu which is single page one side, you don't have a lot to choose from, but what you have to choose from is I'll get one of those f words in this case "Fabulous"! I've posted a photo of the guacamole that they serve, it comes with plantain and the plantain is chips. The dish looks like a facehugger from the alien movies, but wow, I mean just plain Old wow! We also had the tacos and tacos are on a big kind of tray with two little pots of chicken and beef. Then there are the sauces you can put on them in the very soft tacos which were a little heated. The dishes are designed to be shared and sharing makes you communicate near your partners. Overall La Sala is or might be. My favorite restaurant is at least in my top tent. Again let me say there is nothing good that I can say about La Sala, cuz good doesn't describe how great they are. .. Hey Google, what is this crap that only lets me give five stars. They deserve 10. In...
