La Sorpresa Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

This is the worst Dominican restaurant I've ever been to in nyc !!! The placid small' the people that hang out in there are so dirty and bummy and drunk !! I went to eat with my daughter and 5 drunk people kept staring at us eat!! Like get the fuxk outta my face!!!

First Impression

I searched for local restaurants nearby that make sancocho soup and decided to order with La Sorpresa since I had not tried it before.

Within a few minutes of placing my order I received an email stating my order had been cancelled by the restaurant because they are “busier than usual.” I thought that was a good thing. Cancelling orders is certainly one way to ensure you’re not busy any longer.

I would have appreciated at least a call from the restaurant to explain why the order was being cancelled or offer me another time to place an order. I ordered food from another restaurant currently taking orders.

Food is good, but god damn these people take years to take your order and it’s even worst to deliver from here. I live a couple blocks away and they called me three times to ask where my building was. After an hour later. The guy shows up. The order is like $17 and i handed him a $20. He just stood there.
