Vastly exceeded expectations. The menu was phenomenal and really hard to make a choice! Everything sounded great and honestly the dishes I had were beyond what I even thought they would be. A bunch of seafood specials where the whole fish was cooked (snapper, branzino, black bass) and then specials like lamb osso bucco and then their super impressive regular menu with several different veal options and tons of house made pasta. The frito Misto is not to be missed. I loved the veal saltimbocca and the ossobucco and you can’t go wrong with the tiramisu! Special shout out to Essa (probably spelled wrong) who is the bartender and doubled as my server, and Luigi the owner and chef who really crushed it! It’s rare when an Italian restaurant in NYC exceeds the already lofty expectation (every place here is great) but La Terra really did.

The owners, Luigi Scarpelli and Nicholas OberIt have given us a wonderful addition to the East 50's, and I suspect they will soon have waiting lists for dinner reservations! We will...

But it's the owner who supervises it all that truly makes the difference. It seems there are three three Luigis there! Do not miss on this extraordinary experience right in your...
