
i have LA fitness membership but started working closeby and decided to give this gym a try using online promo of free two days pass before switching, the staff was terrible, they did not know their policies and made comments about their own promotional employee how she did not know what she (Lynda) was talking about even though Lynda advised me to simply take her text with promotional code to gym and it will be hasle free. well staff was very unpleasant, uncooperative and straightforward said its 10$ fee for one day pass with connotation that i shuld be thankful getting one free pass and not ask for second day which was offered to me by Lynda... manager looked confused, he was super unfriendly and so was another female worker who made statememt lynda ( their own employee) is not authorized to do this! seriously is this a joke? i take time out change outfit show up and be greeted with so much negativity for using their own 2 day promotion thats ridiculous, no thank you not changing my gym i would give 0 star if i could for...

As a customer, you should always feel respected and valued, and it's unfortunate that i did not receive that level of service at Retro Fitness. It's concerning that the female manager did not make any effort to provide excellent customer satisfaction. It's the manager's job to ensure that customers are being treated well and that any issues are being addressed promptly.
Based on my experience, it's difficult to recommend Retro Fitness on Veterans Rd. to anyone looking for a gym with good customer service. While the gym itself may be nice, the staff's behavior towards me was unacceptable and disappointing. Read moreI was requesting a refund from their payment service providers ABC Financials because as the gym was close March, April, June, July 2020. I was charged for for more than I should have for the two memberships. I did post a negative review as I will now retract due to the update below.
Update as of 5:41 pm 1/12/2021 - I received word the payment service provider ABC Financials will be cancelling my memberships without further charges, which is the correct thing to due unprecedented circumstances of 2020. I do hope 2021 is a better year financially for Retro Fitness as I had been a member for many years at this location and was very happy with the location and staff....and only until the last dispute did I encounter anything negative about this Retro Fitness or their payment service provider.
