Iâm really disappointed that I went to this place for the first time today and wasnât able to order a thing. I also would like to note that I called ahead of time to see if I could order pickup because I was really hungry and looking forward to this meal either way, but their phone does not work. Iâve always wanted to try their tacos because of their good reviews. Sad Iâm leaving this low star review but the truth of my experience must be told. When I went Saturday afternoon 10/9, there was literally only two other people in there, and the guy behind the register seemed friendly at first. When I asked to order he said yes and I said I would sit outside, then he asked for my vaccine card. đ In NYC, you can sit outside and eat without a card. When I stood up for myself he wouldnât budge and I couldnât waste another breath or my business on a place that was so clear on letting me know where I donât want to be, and left. Thatâs ridiculous!! Bringing business and being turned away, Iâm amazed places like this think they will survive treating others that way. Every bite is a mouthful of spice, meat, filling, cilantro, salsa verde y rojo (I made these up .. sorry but theyâre salsas to die for) .. with a squirt of the lime, chunks of cheese balances the whole power of taste. The tacos were a bit soggy as I didnât eat it on site but brought it home, but as it got limpier, messier, Iâm glad Iâm home to devour such flavourful tacos without embarrassing myself in public. The consommĂ© is liquid gold I can slurp this any time of the day. Spicy hot but not too chilly to numb my palette it is ânoisily slurping off the cupâ good. Every spice got its own time in the taco sun. Amazing. Will be back!...
   Read moreI love mushrooms and am not a huge meat eater... so I love that they allow me to swap any meat in their dishes to mushrooms. Just as a FYI the mushrooms are seasoned and savory.
I usually get the mushroom quesadilla or the mushroom gordita from here.
The quesadilla and gordita are handmade. The quesadillas are huge and the gordita are thicker so only get the gordita If you like a doughier tortilla. The gordita takes longer (can be up to 30min) but it's a fresh handmade dish and so worth it for me.
I have also tried their breaded chicken cutlet tortas. I've tried many tortas and I like chilangas meat is nice and tender.
P.S Both sauces are good but the red one is much spicier while the green one is...
