One-line Review: Tasty Slices with a Crowded Catch!
Taste: 4.5/5 Quantity: 4/5 Quality: 4/5 Value for Money: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Hygiene: 3/5 Environment: 3.5/5 Overall: 4/5
➡️ First Impression: I visited Little Italy Pizza at 55 W 45th St, New York, NY 10036, during my New York trip, and the massive slices near Times Square caught my eye, though the experience had its ups and downs.
➡️ What I Ordered: I ordered one mushroom vegetarian pizza slice, costing $5.23 plus taxes, which turned out to be nearly half the size of a small pizza—more than enough for one person.
➡️ Taste & Quality: I was hesitant at first due to the size and look, but the taste was great—rich, cheesy, and the mushrooms added a perfect flavor. The quality was solid, with fresh ingredients that made it a delightful surprise.
➡️ Portion vs Price: The quantity was impressive for one slice, sufficient for a full meal, and the $5.23 plus taxes felt fair for the taste and portion, especially in such a prime location.
➡️ Service & Environment: The service was good—staff were friendly and quick despite the bustle. Parking was very hard to find due to the proximity to Times Square, and the seating was limited. The restrooms were very messy, likely due to overcrowding, and the hygiene suffered as a result, which was a downside.
➡️ Final Thoughts: Little Italy Pizza in New York offers great-tasting mushroom veggie slices with generous portions for $5.23 plus taxes, perfect for a quick bite near Times Square. The good service was a plus, but the messy restrooms and lack of parking or seating were challenges. I’d still visit again for the flavor!
Recommendations for Improvement: • Improve restroom cleanliness, especially during busy times. • Consider adding more seating or partnering for nearby parking solutions. • Keep up the delicious pizza and good service!

Read moreThis was a recommendation of our hotel concierge about a good pizzeria in the area to try authentic New York pizza. I would highly recommend checking it out. Some of their high points: Unique and Large selection! For being a reasonably small business, they have a varied and large selection of pizzas and other foods to eat. I had a slice of their cheese pizza and spinach pizza. Both were good, though I prefer the cheese pizza. The spinach pizza’s sauce seemed to mute the overall flavor of the pizza, but was still very good. I also tried their garlic knots, and they were fantastic. Efficient Service. Being a smaller business it was kinda cramped in the ordering area, but the system to have in place for ordering made it a breeze. You get in a queue and pick your selection and pay for it. They then take your pizza selection, through it in the oven for a few minutes to heat it up, and then they call your ticket number and you pick it up. Very fast!
The only negative I can give this place, and it might very well be because it is New York, is that the pizza is kinda pricey. The garlic knots were very cheap and delicious, but the pizza if memory serves was about $8 a slice, which they are big slices of pizza. But I come from Indiana, and I can get two medium pizzas for the price I paid for two slices of pizza. But,...
Read moreAbsolutely ridiculous deliciousness! With so many pizza spots around Times Square claiming they are the best spot… it was actually a pleasure to walk into this establishment and agree!!! They have the best tasting Italian staples…along with excellent customer service. Phil… the manager runs an environment that is super clean, bright and joyful. My daughter and I stayed in the Club Quarters Hotel across the street and did not want to travel too far after a long day of sight seeing. Coming from an experienced baker.. I can be a bit of a snob when it comes to making an excellent crust of any kind …I must say I request and received the most flavorful and perfect calzone I had ever tasted. Phil ask “How do you want it … a lot of seasoning?….I said no… the right amount of seasoning..it turned out perfect. It was filled with my personal favorite ingredients (pepperoni, mushroom and onions) not to forget the ricotta and mozzarella seasoned with garlic and basil….delicious. Almost forgot to mention my daughter had two slices of specialty slices which were equally scrumptious. This will be a place we will definitely...
