Long Won — Restaurant in New York

This place is absolutely terrible. I've known this place since I was a little girl visiting New York frequently and this is the food of choice for my family that live here since it is one of the only Chinese place in their area and I don't think they notice nor care about the taste, I'm back once again, progression is not in their vocabulary since they still look run down and cook the same disgusting food. Their friend rice is bland and slimy. Their chicken is odd. The pepper steak is a hybrid of rubber and gum with brown slime thrown over it with peppers and onions, bland and just undesiring. The white rice is the only thing good. They really should try to make their place look pleasant. Sometimes I can see through the side door into the kitchen and that looks unsanitary too. I'd come here again. Not a place to sit and have meal in but the food was good, staff was nice and the prices were decent. I got fried vegetable dumplings and cold noodles in sesame sauce. (I asked them to substitute the egg noodle with rice noodles and they were more than willing to do so). I really liked the dumplings but the, "sesame" sauce for the noodles was basically peanut butter and there weren't any sesame seeds in it at all. After adding some hot and soy sauce to the peanut butter it was fine. Another thing I liked was that their portion size was extremely generous. I must have gotten a pound of noodles with that dish. I just moved to this block and I live across the street from the store.I ordered chicken wings and pork fried rice and an egg roll.I get home open the container to 4 of the TINIEST chicken wings and a small amount of rice...if you're going to serve me baby wings the least you could do is fill it with rice.Why is there only a little bit of rice?! I dont get it...rice is cheap!
