I came here because of bozo influencers overhyping everything. My buddy and I first ordered a vodka slice and a plain cheese. We were both disappointed, considering all the over promising, and almost left to go someplace else. Pizza Time and Krispy Pizza both make better vodka sauce in my opinion, but we wanted to try the Piccanti. Those same influencers said it was an off menu item and we had to ask, like it’s a big secret. Wrong, it’s on the menu and has been for years. This isn’t Lucia’s fault at all. Here is the issue though; the Piccanti ($27) has a vodka sauce base, and has pepperoni and hot cherry peppers. I asked for the Piccanti but with regular tomato sauce and one side just pepperoni. Apparently that’s not an option so I had to order a pepperoni pie ($26) which has a tomato base and then add the Piccanti toppings on the other half. Okay I thought, same outcome but it wasn’t until I went to pay that I found out it cost an additional $5 which came out to $31 plus tax. So basically I had to pay $4 more than a full Piccanti costs and received half the toppings just cause I wanted a tomato base. Mind you, everywhere you go a vodka pie is more expensive than a plain cheese. If anything it should have been less than $27 but I would never assume that. Just seems like a weird system they have in place if you want to customize an order. Anyway, the Piccanti redeemed the experience. We both agreed it was very good 9/10. We had a third buddy who was at work and we brought him the pepperoni slices. He can’t handle spicy peppers at all which is the reason we needed one side half pep only. He gave it an 8.7. Would I come back here? Probably not, unless I was in the area. L’Industrie, Pizza Time, Luigi’s, and Krispy are tastier Brooklyn options. I’m glad I got to try another Brooklyn hot spot though.

Hello and good afternoon so I’d like to say I’m very impressed with Lucia’s, I had the pleasure of ordering a pie today and must admit it was quite pleased. I always love to rate pizza on 4 different categories 1. Sauce 2. Cheese 3. Dough 4. Presentation 1. I must say taking a bite out of Lucia’s brought me back to my childhood eating a slice, I do prefer sauce that is on the Spicy side but this one was very good. It was well portioned on the slices 2. The cheese was excellent you can tell the owners are not skimping on low grade cheese like some other establishments do it was well proportioned as well and of good quality 3. The dough as you see in the photo cooked to perfection, the slice stood up right it was crunchy it was by far some of the best I’ve had A++ 4. Finally the presentation was outstanding very well made not greasy AT-ALL I saw NO grease on this pizza which is what I love meaning good quality ingredients, and also there business and branding I love how even the paper on the bottom it says Lucia’s that really stood out and I adored it. I give this place a 9.5/10 only because as I said before I like the sauce to be a little on the spicy side but also I will try there carm picante one of these days as well. Also to mention the pepperoni guys a thing of beauty these guys don’t skimp and buy quality I highly highly recommend very good pizza and newly arrived customer thanks Lucia’s

First off, have the decency to tell people what comes on top of certain slices. They gave me basically some garlic water sauce all over my mushroom slice and it's not needed and was put on horribly... that sauce literally taste like garlic flavored water. It's disgusting and needs maybe some salt? Def needs salt in the very least. Maybe today's batch was off. Second, and this is just based off my visit today(9/17) but the vibe inside is dead. The folks working today were miserable. The guys preparing slices just slid mine across small counter area and found it no issue to give me my slices in a ripped bag. I even pre-tipped lol and was kind and smiled. I will say the guy behind register did thank me as I walked out, so that was appreciated. I just felt like customers were a bother to the man preparing slices and pies.. which, after reading other reviews, def seems like the normal here. Customers feeling more like a bother than an actual paying customer. Would also be great to see the owner be proactive with the negative reviews because it seems like things haven't changed.
