Inhumane and Unprofessional Service at Staples Print Shop located at 2892 Ocean Ave
I am very disappointed and concerned regarding the treatment my friend received at this print shop 09.09.2025. The level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic human compassion displayed by employees was truly shocking. My friend came in to print a photo of her mother ā who passed away earlier that same day ā for the funeral taking place next day. She was clearly grieving and under emotional stress. After paying for the service, she was told that she had to scan the photo herself and email it to an address provided by the staff. When she explained that she didnāt know how to use the self-service printer and kindly asked a young Asian woman working there for help, the employee refused. Then, a tall African American male employee with a beard told her that itās āself-serviceā and heās ānot supposed to help.ā When she asked him to at least show her how the machine works, he responded by saying, āThatās not included in my salary,ā and even went as far as saying that if she wanted his help, she would have to pay him personally.
This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional ā itās inhumane. This man does not run a private business inside Staples. He represents the company and is on payroll. His unwillingness to offer even minimal support in such a sensitive situation is appalling.
When my friend asked for their names to file a complaint, he refused, saying heās not required to give his or his colleagueās name.
She ended up asking for a refund and left the store feeling humiliated and deeply hurt on what was already one of the worst days of her life. I hope Staples takes this complaint seriously. Employees represent the brand and how they treat people ā especially during vulnerable moments ā matters. No one expects the world, but a little compassion and basic customer service should be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in today in order to do an Amazon return. Upon arriving at the desk to do the Amazon return there were two young ladies behind the counter: one with black hair (who the manager later told me that she was a āhigh school internā and was part of a ātroubled youth programā) and another with blonde highlights. As soon as they saw me, they started slamming boxes and saying how they āhate this job and hate serving peopleā. Anyways, I placed my item on the counter and waited for it to be scanned in and to get a receipt. While I did this, the girl with black hair slammed a return box so hard that it collapsed on the floor. I waited almost 2 minutes for me to be acknowledged. After finally acknowledging me, the girl with black hair took my item and threw it in the box. When I asked for a receipt she said that they do not give receipts and āran out of paperā. I then said that I wanted my item back as I wanted a receipt and I would go to another location. This is when the girl with the black hair rolled her eyes and said that I was making her life āhellā by asking for a receipt. When I asked her for the manager the printer magically worked and she threw the receipt in my face. When I asked her name she told me āItās whatever you want it to beā. The kicker being, on my way out both ladies were poking their fingers at me and making remarks and saying that I was picking a fight with college kids. This is when another employee (who Iāve never seen before) got in my face and motioned me to the door escorting me out.
If you need a staples make sure to definitely avoid this particular establishment. They are racist individuals who profile you as soon as you walk in. They take turns on who and what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give NO STARS, I would. THE WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. Working in a customer service industry for so long, I have never seen anyone behave in such a nasty way with any customer. First, I was kind of surprised that this guy at the printing station decided to just go to his office and leave this lady standing there not knowing what to do, JUST BECAUSE she couldn't explain what she needed to do b/c of her not being fluent in English. Then I helped her myself, since I felt horrible seeing that there was NO respect for a customer. Then I decided to mail papers using their UPS service. I had to go to a separate aisle to get the envelope, which was more expensive than the price it showed. The cashier told me they were two different items, although they had the same sku number. After me asking what she suggests me to do, she just replied "Idk. The prices are just different", I had to return the item . The girl at the UPS section DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SHE IS DOING. After I couldn't find the labels for mailing, she told me that we can create one on the computer. She was on her phone texting WHILE she was helping me out. Then she asked ME to fill the information out MYSELF. That is not even the worst part. As she is typing up something on the computer, she sees her friend or boyfriend come to her and completely ignores me and starts talking to him. Then she couldn't figure out how to write down the address and the name of the place of shipment. So I had to type it myself again. Never got to ship my papers, she couldn't figure out how to write down the address of the delivery. Wasted 40 mins of my day, and had nothing done. Do NOT...
