🏆 A COLD WEATHER MUST TRY IN BROOKLYN! This is sophisticated comfort food (the Cremini đŸ„â€đŸŸ« Mushroom one would’ve brought Anthony Bourdain here in a heartbeat! I found out about this spot online after a meeting in this area. What a treat! Coffee and homemade cookies and muffins are also a specialty here too. There is a small “cozy corner” to enjoy a “coffee date” but the counter is the best spot to dive into your Mac & Cheese. đŸ«• THIS the ULTIMATE Mac & Cheese served in-house in the cutest cast-iron pot! The presentation is everything and it comes bubbling hot! Otherwise, get it “To-Go” in an ordinary aluminum container. The combination of flavors offered are extraordinary, they even have a well-respected VEGAN Mac & Cheese but on the day I went, they were completely out of anything vegan. So I dug into that cheese and wow wow wow, the friendly gentleman in the kitchen knows how to cook! It was so good that I ordered a second “Value Sized” one, but asked for no extra cheese on top
not a problem! In an area with few dining spots this place should have a line around the block, especially for their lunch specials! My fancy mushroom Mac cost me about $16! But many versions of this great dish can be enjoyed at only $6.99 at lunchtime! I also linked the music đŸŽ¶ they play and the paintings created by Ladie Olvida! 🎹 This place is a cool spot to hang out with a warm treat as NYC’s weather starts getting colder. Love this spot, it’s like wearing a warm sweater in front of a fireplace, sweet as can be!!! You’ll feel the charm and the dedication to EXCELLENCE! It’s like eating in the kitchen of a dollhouse, sooo special! They take Apple Pay too! And other methods. Tap and pay is aok! 🏆

Don’t mind the mixed reviews, this place is amazing. I ordered the 4 baked wing lunch special with classic mac (came with a ginger ale)đŸ€€ The wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and falling off the bone. Lemon pepper sauce was perfectly seasoned and not overpowering. The mac was divine. Sooo much cheese. The noodles were perfectly cooked so they still had bite and texture. I called ahead and picked up 15-20 min later. Everything was ready and very fresh. 10/10. I would eat here every day but I would be 300lbs lol. Only disappointment is the lunch price is $7 on the door, $7.50 on the menu, and they charged me $8.50. Still a great deal, but something to be aware of. Also, it’s wheel chair accessible which is great!

The Mac Shack will simply delight all those who dine on their world famous mac. I rode my bicycle here and was not disappointed by the huge portion sizes, made-to-order freshly baked macaroni and sweet juices. Had the combo #1 with jerk chicken, and a small Burger Mac aka Bed-Stuy. Had to take leftovers home. PRO TIP- bring your own metal cutlery from home so that you can scrape the burnt cheese bits off the side of the aluminum container and pop those quickly and easily in your mouth, you'll understand how heaven tastes after that. Good food takes time, don't rush it.

I really wanted to like this place, but after multiple visits, I just can’t justify giving it a higher rating. I've been here 3 times, and each time I’ve been disappointed in one way or another. The first issue was when I was charged more than the menu price for a breakfast sandwich — and this was even after they were out of an ingredient! I ended up paying $13 for bacon bits and a slice of cheese on a croissant, which was absurd for what I got.

Today, the salmon bites looked like they were rushed out and honestly resembled dog food more than anything edible.

The menu is boring and lacks variety — it’s basically mac and cheese with a few meat options, but there’s not a vegetable in sight. The mac and cheese itself is basic, and honestly, it’s shocking that it’s the main attraction of the place when it doesn’t even stand out.

The space is beautiful, but the effort they put into renovations clearly didn’t extend to improving the food or the menu. The counter staff were friendly, but professionalism was definitely lacking. They really need to step it up if they want to last long-term, especially with so many better...
