Came to this establishment on the recommendation of a friend who recently moved back to the neighborhood. The place was a tad difficult to find since the only branding or name of the business is the size of my phone on the glass of the main point of egress. Upon arrival the establishment was relatively empty and we were seated promptly. The waitress without saying hello or welcome promptly uttered “We close at 10:30pm” mind you it was only 9:50pm. I found the body language and demeanor a tad off putting. To top it off, it’s a cash only establishment. The ramen was delicious. The establishment decor is bland and boring. The music playing doesn’t fit the ambiance. Establishment has only one unisex bathroom. It was relatively clean. This business is awarded 3 stars based on the welcoming hospitality, service and food. If the establishment accepted credit or debt it would have received an additional star. The combination of off-putting customer service and not accepting cash lowered the overall rating. Place is dope if you want a quick ramen spot when your main spot isn’t open or nearby.

Nana Ramen distinguishes itself in Brooklyn's vibrant culinary landscape with its exceptional Black Tonkotsu, a ramen experience defined by a meticulously crafted, deeply flavorful broth that speaks of hours of patient simmering, delivering a profound umami richness. This broth is the perfect canvas for their perfectly cooked, al dente noodles, which provide just the right chew and texture. What truly elevates Nana Ramen above its competitors is the generous portion of tender, high-quality pork, a stark contrast to the often meager offerings found elsewhere. The melt-in-your-mouth pork is a testament to their commitment to quality ingredients. The dining experience is further enhanced by the attentive and friendly service, creating a welcoming atmosphere amidst the bustling Brooklyn scene. While the cash-only policy, with an on-site ATM, presents a minor inconvenience in a city where card transactions are the norm, the overall quality of the ramen and service makes Nana Ramen a must-visit destination for any serious ramen enthusiast.

Food ALLERGIES please BEWARE!!! I had the black tonkotsu ramen for the 5th time, and had a horrible, scary allergic reaction! I come here often, but the last time I came, I had an extreme severe reaction. I am only allergic to milk protein (milk, whey, butter), and carry an epi pen, as it can be fatal. When calling the restaurant to figure out what happened, the owner, two chefs, and even the server completely denied it. (There was cross contamination, in the very least.) If you have a severe allergy, sadly I have to warn you to please, please avoid this business at all cost. It was literally my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood, but not anymore. I will never go back and put my life at risk-especially when the Owner and chefs denied it! Again, if you have severe food allergies PLEASE take caution, as Nana ramen did not, and I wound up extremely ill. Thank goodness we caught it soon.

Really unfortunate experience tonight. As a restaurant owner and industry person I felt for them but this was a horror show. Severely understaffed to the point where I literally could not relax and was only concerned with the ONE server working alone on a Friday night floundering helplessly while the entire spot was going down in flames. No support, no one to help, no one to greet customers, phone ringing off the hook. The entire restaurant was on edge feeling the strain and stress of the one employee and it was uncomfortable and embarrassing.

It was my partner’s birthday and we got in right before the rush and were looking for a nice dinner together. We sat and ordered promptly and then waited and waited and waited while other tables were sat, served, fed - all while we hadn’t even received our drink order yet. After over thirty minutes the server came over and said “the kitchen misplaced your order” AKA she never placed it. We placed it again. You would think at that point we would receive our simple canned drinks ASAP but no - no drink arrived. Ten minutes later we heard a glass and a plate shatter and watched the ONLY server in the whole spot cleaning it up whilst another gaggle of guests poured in, crowding the door. At this point, over thirty minutes in and no drink, we informed the server we were just going to leave. She acted totally nonplussed and just said “okay” - not even an apology in the slightest. Horribly understaffed to the point of...

Me & my husband brought my nephew here because he loves instant ramen & we wanted him to try something new. After being recommended to this place I made sure to look at reviews first & we was instantly excited to come. Our food was great & we was having an amazing time just enjoying each other company until it was time to pay. I already knew they didn’t accept cards but I also knew they had an ATM in the restaurant ((previous reviews)) my husband went to the ATM and withdrew cash and immediately paid. One of the ladies came back with only one of the 20s and tells us they do not accept “old bills” And that my husband had to either get a new 20 out the ATM or change it at a store.... now I understand how one can think about counterfeit money but the restaurant is not big you can literally see the entire thing from your seat. The waitress saw my husband go to the ATM in their restaurant & immediately hand her the cash that came out. We had to send my nephew to a store to Change the 20 because they refused to take “old bills” what ever that means. I will never be coming back to this restaurant & it’s sad because I actually...
