The Pork Breakfast Congee was so so so good! The staff were incredibly sweet and laid back-- perfectly chill vibes for starting off the day. Ambience really feels like a neighborhood spot, with a carefully curated stock of East Asian and Southeast Asian dried goods lining the walls.
Notable items for me included chili crisp (many varieties including Lao Gan Ma), rice paper, dried makrut leaf, fish sauce (Three Crabs), oyster sauce, chinkiang vinegar, shaoxing wine, Thai coconut milk/cream, Maesri curry paste, chrysanthemum tea, etc. I'm sure I'll find something new on my next visit!
I can't wait to try their sandwiches and scallion pancake breakfast burritos. Especially as the weather cools down, I can tell I'm going to be spending a lot of...

The congee looked nice but was borderline cold with very odd flavors. Quinoa should not be in congee. The century egg was sliced in half and hard boiled which I’ve never seen before. The scallion pancakes were doughy, undercooked, and served with sweet and sour sauce which was a puzzling choice.
If you want an unconventional take on congee then maybe you’ll enjoy this. But I personally do not see the appeal. You can get better congee at any number of hole in the wall places in Chinatown for a fraction...
Read moreLovely new and hidden gem on Fulton! I tried the build your own congee with all the vegan toppings and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size and the range of flavors, colors, and textures represented in the bowl: the crunchy peanuts and broccoli paired so well with the salsa, all of which were balanced perfectly with the hearty congee. My mom tried the Maya salad with whitefish and loved it too! Don’t skip the drinks either. Can’t go wrong with an iced matcha latte with oatly and a hint of vanilla. It’s a sweet spot to pop in for lunch or soak in the sun from the cozy...
