At 5:42 pm, My 4 year old son and I visited McDonald’s #2658 located on white plains road and Allerton Ave. I was very disappointed and became highly sensitive to what I experienced. I ordered my son a 6 piece happy meal. The cashier then asked me “for a boy or girl “. I replied “boy” . When I received my order #199, my son opened his happy meal and noticed a pink long haired emoji. I then brought it too shift manager Kenisha attention. She then looked for other toy and came back with the same toy and stated, “this is a unisex toy”. I then started to question her on how this was a unisex toy and that I don’t feel comfortable giving my son a feminist toy. Kenisha did not know what to say. She then said “this is all we have”. I then asked Kenisha for the store manager and she told me to hold on . As she went to the back of the store I noticed a tall African American decent man speaking to her by the name of Noah also shift manager. When Kenisha approached me she told me to call the 1800 number located on the McDonald’s cup. I then asked her what was the name of the district managers name and store managers name and she completely ignored me and kept working. I then started to speak to Noah and he also ignored me and tossed the girl emoji toy. As a valuable customer I am, I will not be eating here nor will my co workers after I tell them what I dealt with at this location. My son and I were embarrassed and also humiliated when he had to settle for a girl emoji toy. My son started crying because he was toyless with his happy meal and was expecting to have a Batman emoji. As one of the top food chains, McDonald’s should be a shame at the type of staff they hire and how sadden my son was . A child should never have to settle for what’s available if they are not familiar with it. The staff located here needs more oral training with communicating with customers and maintaining a professional attitude. I will not be coming back...
Read moreThis location on White Plains Rd is very good. They are usually fast. They only slow down during the rush hours, but it's expected. I only had 1 issue. It's with the app. It's not the easiest to use. The first time, it said the internet was down. I went into the store and tried logging into the McDonald's wifi, and still no luck. The manager tried to help, and she had no luck. She had to enter the order manually. Took a little longer, but problem resolved. The next time I used it, the internet issue seemed to be resolved, but the instructions were not correct. I chose instore pick up. The instructions the app gave me were for the drive through. So when I gave them the order number inside, they told me to choose instore pick up. So my order wasn't started and I had to wait. Not sure what the mix up was, but they seem to blame me. It probably was, but I'm sure I picked instore pick up, and not drive through. I'll try this app one more time. If it doesn't work, I'm just deleting it. Other than that, I had no issue. The staff is great, they prepared my order...
