Mexico 2000 Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

I rarely write poor reviews but I felt inclined to do so because I never experienced a dining experience like this before, as an avid diner in NYC. My friend and I made reservations on Open Table for 2:30pm for outdoors. We were not seated until 3pm and was informed that outside was completely full and they only had inside dining available. When we explained to them that this was unacceptable the host/server walked away when we were mid-sentence. My friend came all the way from Jersey and we just wanted to catch up, so we said let's just sit indoors. After 15 min, I had to flag down the bartender to bring us water. It was a hot day and the ceiling fans were not on. It then took another 10 min to bring a menu to our table and they only had one, with the explanation that it was the last brunch menu they had at the moment and brunch was ending at 4pm. At this point, we were really appalled at the service and we decided to leave. On the way out, we saw a couple that was seated after us had their drinks already. I do not recommend this place at all. I understand restaurants are short staffed but why accept the reservation...

While the food is pretty good we didn't have the greatest experience on Cinco de Mayo. We had made reservations and were sat somewhat quickly after arriving though only had 2 seats. It took quite a bit of time to get the 2 chairs for the rest of our party. It also took near half an hour for someone to take our order. The margaritas were pretty good though they advertised a special on facebook which our waiter seemed completely unaware of it. There was a limited menu for the holiday and prices were near double what they typically are. The guac and steak fajitas we had were pretty good though the fajitas were a bit dry and overcooked. The al pastor super tacos were eh. Not a lot of flavor and way too much iceberg. I wish I would have come on another night but because I think I would have really enjoyed it but overcharging and poor service really...

This restaurant is a bit mysterious in term of how they run their business. I was checking some personal finance today (15 Feb 2024) and found out that this restaurant had deposited $16.93 (twice) yesterday (14 Feb 2024). The last time I have been in this restaurant was around between Aug-Oct 2023. I tried to speak to the manager over the phone today (15 Feb 2024) on why they deposit this amount yesterday. But the conversation just got shortcut to “we’re busy, call at another time”. Not only I was being nice on the phone and trying to get some answers but the man over the phone was rude and not willing to help since he also mentioned that he’s the manager. I am currently in Canada and there’s no way I can use my bank card yesterday in the US. Not to mentioned I’ve been in Canada since Nov 2023. I need some answers and this needs to be...
