Dog Park Feature: Marcy Green Dog Park! This is one of the newest additions to Brooklyn for dogs completed just last year. This dog run is fresh and updated with amenities like a water fountain for dogs and people, astroturf that is soft on paws, a hose and pool area, basket for extra balls so you never have to worry about forgetting yours, and plenty of space to run around! Although it only has one section, it is still a great dog run that we would recommend as long as your dog gets along with dogs of all sizes! There are benches lining the back wall which gets shade most of the day. The park is set back a full block from the J/M train and on the same block as the Marcy stop, so you don’t get a lot of train noise as the trains are traveling slowly in and out of the station a block away. Overall this is a good spot, we’ve visited a couple of times now and would go back! . . . Open astrotruf space with benches in the shade along the side. Water fountain with a bowl including pouring mechanism to keep everyone hydrated and keep stagnant water from sitting. Not any features of note, but a nice simple open space.
