Mike's Donuts — Restaurant in New York

I know this place is very highly rated and I have been agreeing with that for years, however I went in this week and purchased a dozen donuts, half of which were not at all fresh. The glazed cake donut and glazed yeast donuts were absolutely sublime and falling-apart-fresh, however most of the others were hard and stale. I'm not sure how it happened and I didn't call them to complain - perhaps I should have - but I was so disappointed. On the list of culprits were the glazed marble cake stick, the coconut donut (which I remember being a cake donut in the past, and the cinnamon crumb. The Boston cream had an off flavor and the apple filled just wasn't up to par. This was an unfortunate donut experience for me and I'm not sure I will try again. What's funny is that I've been buying donuts here for years - we even special ordered them for one of the dessert tables at our wedding! Here's hoping to better donuts...

I arrived as a doordasher to the rudest middle aged woman idk if she was having a bad day but I will never buy from her myself I walked in the fire thing ahe askes is if I can hold a dozen donut box straight mind you I’m a body builder so it was just to question my ability at my job with I’m a platinum member for having such good stats. So I ignored it and waited for them to finish the food next the old women drop the bag before handing it to me and they look at me look it my fault. Then I go on to review the order and realize the whole bag that the old woman dropped wasn’t part of my order as a honest person I walked back in to tell her to be told that they got the order right and that I need to leave and make my delivery now as if there my boss. I’m happy you did it though because the woman I delivered to was such a sweetheart and apologized for them and there actions and deserves that extra food…. Very...

I haven't felt like writing a review in a long time but I have never been so excited than I am today! Mike's donuts in bay ridge has joined Uber eats! Squeals These are by far my favorite donuts ever. The shop people are always so nice, and often remember you. Today even tho they were out of what I ordered they called up and asked what I wanted instead, and threw in some extras! I swear I only ordered 6 donuts but I WILL eat them all (3 tiers in this box my friends)! If possible you should try to pickup of course, however they don't have an in house driver so Uber eats will deliver and while I don't condone their profit schemes I do appreciate that small shops can bring me their food this way. Order early they sell out fast! You don't wanna bake this HOT holiday weekend, let Mike's donuts...
