On a quick glance at this photo, it looks like it’s gonna taste really good.
I ate their birria tacos before from the food truck in fresh meadows during my lunch break and I was AMAZED with the quality/freshness/seasoning.
So I went back to the home store. I was so disappointed :/
(Wednesday night around 8pm)
Service: I went on line and ordered with one of the ladies there and when she knew I only wanted TWO orders of the birria tacos, she used her earpiece to let the kitchen staff know. At the same time, I guess this customer finally finished her order at the counter/register for ALSO ONE order of the birria tacos. Now comes time when the boxes came out. There were 2. The guy at the register called out for the birria tacos and I obviously went up to pick up both at the same time as I expected bc I was the one who put in the order for 2 FIRST. I let him know I ordered 2 boxes and they were probably both for me and he INSISTED that there was someone else who ordered & kept calling out repeatedly until the other girl picked up one box and NOW I HAD ONE BOX SITTING THERE getting soggy as hell and cold.
I was like ok. I ordered 2, she ordered 1, you’re really gonna let me wait here with 1 order, fine. Couple minutes later, I ask him what’s up w the other order, my food is getting cold, he said he’ll put in the hot box. That’s fair. 20 minutes go by and I’m just standing by the window cause at this point it’s awkward just standing around waiting for them to prepare it. I check on them twice every 5-10 minutes or so. FINALLY THEY GOT ME MY SECOND ORDER. He didn’t even tell the other front staff about the situation and they STILL had to double check with me about what I ordered. They finally bagged it. DIDNT INCLUDE NAPKINS OR UTENSILS. Didn’t apologize, didn’t say “thank you for waiting, sorry about the inconvenience ” nothing like that! As a business owner or staff, it would be smart to not only say those words, or maybe even offer some chips or a drink for the inconvenience that I went through.(I wasn’t expecting anything other than the words, but it would be nice if they went above and beyond to provide some complimentary items.) I understand the kitchen might have been busy, but I was watching people order and literally everyone was getting the counter burrito bowl stuff. 😵💫😵💫😵💫 (aka nothing from kitchen)
Food: SO FREAKIN SALTY LOL holy moly I can’t even begin to explain. I didn’t want to waste my money and the time I spent waiting for the food so i forced myself to eat it. The meat was so.. wet and mushy I felt like I was eating CANNED CAT FOOD. There was NOT enough cheese, and as I expected, one box was congealed and not appetizing at all. Everything was soaked. Tortillas soggy. Not enough cilantro, or onions on top. It’s crazy that I’d “complain” about too much meat but sometimes, it’s not about the quantity of it but how everything pairs together to make a yummy bite. I was struggling y’all lol. The consumé was madddddddd salty and honestly everything was so soupy and soggy there was no need for me to dip it another time after I tried it once.
ONLY BECAUSE I TRIED THEIR FOOD TRUCK ONCE I may go back but honestly this whole experience was soooooo...
Read moreApril 24, 2023 Update I came here with my mom yesterday after having a craving for a burrito and birria tacos. Based on my last delivery order, I was weary of coming in, but after emailing with management months prior, I gave it a shot and was NOT disappointed. The restaurant was packed with kiddos who probably had just gotten out of school. I ordered my food, it was prepared quickly, and there was no cross contamination. Not even a stray little bean! I'm hoping my past experience with delivery isn't repeated, but I'm hopeful about Moho again.
Previous review I've ordered from Moho pretty often via UberEats and usually give them great ratings there. My experience tonight was unsettling and I'm not sure I'd order from there again.
I placed a delivery order via UberEats for dinner tonight for myself, my mother, and brother. My mother and I both ordered quesadillas and my brother ordered a bowl.
I have life-threatening allergies to beans and can go into anaphylaxis when I come into contact with my allergens. My mother ordered a quesadilla with beans and I ordered one without. I stated in the specific order notes for each item to please mark it with an "N" for my mother and a "T" for me as other items in this order contain allergens. When I received the order, I gave my mother her food right away and I took some time to get my own. When I went to open my container marked with a "T," I saw black beans in the order. I immediately understood that a mistake was made and our orders were mislabeled. I went to switch food with my mother, but she had finished half of the quesadilla by then. I went to eat the remnants for dinner, but not before I found a stray black bean in the mismarked order.
Coming in contact with an allergen was my main concern. Other minor things did bother me: I asked for sauces in all of the orders to be on the side, which was not followed. It resulted in a watery quesadilla. They were missing a topping or two in my order at least, and was overloaded with jalapeños.
I'm not sure what happened tonight, and I normally would have brushed it off as a bad night, but not paying close attention to orders when someone notes that they have an allergy is unacceptable. I'm thoroughly...
Read moreUpdate: 02/16/2025 I found a rubber band and a staple in my food. Almost swallowed it but pulled it out because I couldn't chew it. This is unacceptable. This is so extremely gross just because this rubber band could have been on the floor or anywhere and now it's in my food.
Update: 01/26/2025 The quality is the same as previously stated however they have definitely decreased their serving size by quite a bit. The food now sits in a shallow rectangular bowl rather than a larger square bowl. There is definitely a lot less food.
This is my first time eating a Mexican Bowl and I can confirm it is amazing. Looks so much better than what I've seen from Chipotle online. Price is definitely comparable to Chipotle and for this quality of food is superb. I would definitely buy this again!! Every bite you take is coated in the amazing dressing. Absolutely delicious 🤤😋🤩!!
Edit: Now that I have tried a couple more places like Chipotle and Guac Time, I have to say some of these other places do have better flavor. Guac Time has a smaller portion than Moho for a similar price but I definitely prefer the flavors of Guac Time over Moho. You know what they say quality over quantity. To me Guac Time taste the best and what I said earlier about Chipotles portion size was false at least when I went. This sort of puts Chipotle and Moho tied for me and Guac Time on top. I'm not changing my rating though, Moho is special in its own way and is still a...
