If you are looking for great Indian food this is my new go-to. Having tried other local Indian restaurants, Ayna Agra is the best. My girlfriend and I ordered takeout from here a couple of days ago and were blown away by the flavor of the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Vindaloo. The order also came with rice and complimentary dhal. We ordered both entrees spicy and they were exactly that SPICY, but full of flavor. Yesterday our dine-in experience matched our takeout experience. The restaurant is quiet and clean, the wait staff was great, and the owner Jason had the perfect level of attentiveness. He wasn't overbearing and very helpful in explaining the menu. We ordered the Chicken Pakora as an appetizer with a mango chutney which was very crunchy but also very soft and sweet with the chutney (9/10). For the entrees, we had the Chicken Curry and the Chicken Tikka Masala which were very good. The spice level wasn't to our liking and Jason gave us a vindaloo sauce to add to the dishes which helped to get them to just the right spice level. Both entrees were spot on. We finished dinner with the chai which was the least exciting part of the meal. The overall dining...
Read moreHands down my favorite Indian restaurant. I've come here twice, each time did not disappoint. I think people are hesitant to try Indian cuisine, but if you're a fan of curry and spices, you will love it! The restaurant is dimly lit, fitting for an Indian restaurant. The waiters are friendly and provide excellent service.
The first time I came here, I got the lamb vindaloo, which is extremely spicy (I have a good tolerance for spicy food) so beware! It gets really overwhelming towards the end. The second time, I got the chicken tikka masala because everyone raved about it on Yelp, and it was sooooo good. Not too spicy, chicken was tender and really hit the spot! The garlic naan is a must; perfect for dipping in your curry. The samosas are also really good as an appetizer; comes with two per order! The calamari is not traditional calamari, it's drenched in a sweet/sour sauce and the individual rings are really big! A platter of rice comes with the table and your entrees, and they will happily give you...
Read moreI’m seriously hating it to give this place one star. Their food has always been good, perfect spice and flavors are always there so no complaints about that. But what happened to the workers here? They’re so impatient and unprofessional while taking orders. My mother in law had never tried Indian cuisine before so I brought her here on a Monday night around 7:30pm to try some authentic Indian food. The waiter was acting so ignorant and the tone that he used with her was just nasty. He had a bad attitude. The place was empty so what’s the rush? He came by three times just to ask if we were ready or not within 10 minuets. P.S. If you don’t know something about a certain dish then just check with the kitchen. Don’t be rude about it. I’m sorry to say but their service has gone down the drain since my last visit. My favorite waitress left and this whole place changed. Not good Agra. Please hire professional employees who can be patient enough while dealing with older patrons. Will...
