On Saturday, September 6th we had a train wreck of a dinner experience. Quite possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. Desperately short staffed it took 45 minutes to place our drink order and 2 hours to receive our food, but that wasn't the BIG problem. It was our waiter. We all know "stuff happens" in the restaurant business. So being short staffed didn't cause us to leave vowing never to return. It was the distain our waiter showed toward us and his total disregard for us. As the night went on it grew worse and the ruder he got the more friendly I became, hoping to win him over. I lost. Painfully we watched as every table suffered from this horrendous service. I listened as an older woman scolded the manager stating "this was an awful experience". The waiter knew our experience was horrible and all he needed to do was recognize it and we would have all been on his side. But instead he chose to sling food, ignore empty glasses, and show disregard for checking in on us. What was over the top was when the manager sent complimentary desserts to our table, recognizing what had happened. This clearly aggravated our waiter because he literally tossed the desserts on our table, mumbling something about them being on the house. Lastly, the food was hit or miss. My steak was cool to the touch when it arrived, other meals were much better. Pedestrian French fries from Sysco left you feeling as though you were at IHOP. There are a lot of restaurants in NYC and we chose this because of the reviews of others. Whether this was an off night or a new standard at Monsieur Bistro, I don't know. But I can say we will...

My friends and I, went there for dinner, it was so pack that we were happy about we had made a previous reservation!
Now, it is a must to say that, the menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters. And the main courses have a variety of dish that can appeal any youngsters and adults alike.
In fact, as main course, I had Tuna Steak, perfectly cook, just tender as it should be, flavored, accompanied by a melting delicious Mango Puree, so, SO tasty!!!!
But now, I won’t tell you about my mouthwatering dessert choice, except that, I’m a “CHOCOLATE LOVER “and pleasure was served generously!!.... surrounded by a Grand Marnier digestive and a French classic music background to close this new upper East side French venture!!!! JUST CAME ADDICT TO IT!!!!!....
A real French culinary come back for this neighborhood!!! KUDOS to the owners and their entire team!!!

Read moreWe attended an art show at the Armory, found the Bistro on Google maps and luckily gave it a try. Wonderful all around experience! Shared the Escargot, oysters and Brussel Sprout Salad for appetizers which were all great starters. Two of us ordered the Steak Au Poivre, which was perfectly cooked medium rare, and the sauce was spot on. The Branzino was seared well and paired with a nice lemon, herb sauce. And the burger was ground prime steak, delicious. We all appreciated the service and the woman at the front of the house was extremely attentive and gracious. You could also tell she was running the show:) Will definitely back when in the area. Assuming this place will go viral soon so hopefully can...
