Silver Mirror Facial Bar - Upper East Side — Local services in New York

Can’t remember who I spoke to unfortunately, she said she was one of the “managers” but she was ruuuuudddddeeee…. This isn’t the first time I spoken to the front desk person and they were rude. I was a member with silver mirror since 2018/2019 and I have chose to end my membership today. Not only do the some of the staff lack professionalism and kindness to their clients, their services have declined drastically too. I had a facial with what I thought to be one of the best estheticians since the others left, Satoko. Although she is nice, her services or their products caused a horrible reaction. I have noticed the quality of their products/ equipment has not been the same recently, and on this particular occasion it resulted in me going to the dermatologist for treatment.

During my facial I informed the esthetician my face was burning and she said “that’s because I’m giving you a double exfoliation” she did not remove it and I figured she’s the expert so I just let her continue. Come to find out she used two products that were noted on my account to cause reactions. A day or two later I had terrible reaction. Now they did try their best to accommodate which was appreciated. However, with consultation from my dermatologist and my experience I chose to end my relationship. They have declined BIG time with not only the quality of workers but service and products as well. I had such high hopes !!! Overall not bad (the facial) but nothing special either what really ticked me off is that the esthetician applied a mask on my face without telling me it would cost more! I really think that if you need to apply something other than what the person paid for you should ask and tell them upfront that it will cost more and if they are ok with that then You can apply it ! The other thing was when I finished with my treatment and went to the counter to pay they had three creams that they were trying to sell me??? I really don’t like that! We didn’t talk about any of this lady??? She didn't talk to me about needing a cream or anything like that, especially when before when she asked me what type of creams do I use I told her I was really happy with my skin care. So over all very mediocre service I have had wayyyy better facials and the whole vibe is to extract as much money as they can from you! You feel so used! No smiles no being polite nothing!!! JUST give me all your money (That is what it felt like) Its a shame I really wanted to like this place , the aesthetic is nice and welcoming but they need to work on their customer service a lot more. I'm writing this review 2 months after my Skin refining peel service with my awesome esthetician PJ who undoubtedly saved my skin! I have always had naturally clear skin but recently I had been experiencing alot of congestion on my cheeks that would develop into stubborn acne. For a year I had seen many professionals who told me to exfoliate more and It WAS NOT working and I was starting to get so many dark scars.
