I think the pizza I just had deserves a 5 star review. I can't speak for the service since my wife completely bypassed the waitress, and the line and went up to the pizza and asked the cook for those slices like any other walk-in spot. She's from the bronx and was hangry and pregnant. I limited her from ordering 4 pizza slices to 2. The cook was friendly and he was kind enough to warm them up immediately.
We sat down and I realized that a girl in the beanie/skully walking back and forth was the waitress. Ok, guess we bypassed the sitdown experience and got our pizza right away. But wow, this philly cheese steak pizza had more cheese steak than some sandwiches in queens! We were silent as my wife whispered in a pregnant tone... "garlic knots". I went up to the same guy and he added the garlic knots. She then waited till I was comfortable to mention that we had no drinks. I went to the back and grabbed the mountain dew. We are having a kid so I am no longer afraid of drinking mountain dew pssht.
Anyway, the pizza was amazing and we ordered two more slices on the way out. The cashier took our previous order and the two new pizzas and said it was $22.40. Great value for 4 specialty pizzas, garlic knots and a drink. I saw the waitress a few times but she didn't really check in with us. It's fine though because we got everything quickly and it tasted great. The store was at 60% capacity which can be chaotic for one waitress. I feel like the food really deserved the 5.0 boost in ratings. I will bring some friends here for pizza and update this...
Read moreI Had ate two slices of pizza with my girlfriend. She lives around so I come here at least once a week. I usually enjoy the pizza very much. But today specifically there was a Hispanic waiter that has red hair and black jeans along with the Bruno’s T-shirt. She kept giving my girlfriend many dirty looks while we were trying to enjoy our pizza. The other waiters I had no problem with but that specific Hispanic waiter red hair looks in her 20-30s had a distasteful look. and it’s not like we ordered with her to make her angry but we ordered at the counter so there was definitely something she didn’t like about the way my girlfriend looked. It’s sad because we come here to enjoy the good food but how can you with a waitstaff so rude and displeasing to a customer. Honestly in my opinion she shouldn’t work there but hey if she’s giving dirty looks to my girlfriend especially when we are coming to this establishment to eat. Next time I think I will do pickup or maybe be able to sit if the redhead Hispanic female in her 20-30s is not there. I never imagined me or my girlfriend being grilled at a food establishment by the waiter that is getting paid...
Read moreMy family has ordered pizza’s from Bruno’s for years. I moved upstate NY and still on my trips home I always looked forward to getting a pizza from Bruno’s. The last few times I was home I was very much disappointed with the quality of the pizza, not only was it smaller but it tasted as if it was reheated not a pizza pie that just came out of the oven. That was how it was today, I called and spoke to the manager, and let him know of my disappointment. He was nice, and was willing to make me another. I don’t believe he was being truthful with me. When He said they had to make the pizza smaller to fix in the box, like I said I have been getting pizza pies there for years, there was never trouble with the pizza fitting in the box. If you are going to pay 22 dollars and change you deserve a pizza that is fresh and not smaller in size. What a disappointment.Things don’t last forever, I think it is time to try another pizzeria. One more thing, customer service is important, the young lady taking orders should learn to smile and acknowledge customers, things appear to be going downhill for Bruno’s, I am sad to see...
